What did you do to your Fiesta ST today ?

This would require me to remember it if I'm going to a self serve wash, and I guarantee I won't every time. Helps I usually wash it at home, but when it's oppressively sunny like it is lately everything dries on instantly. Might grab one for the house and if I'm lucky I'll remember it when I need it

I have one of those silicone squeegees that is always in my car. Does a very good job of getting most of the water off my car very quickly, the hidden spots can be soaked up with a a few MF towels.

It haunts me to this day, and I stopped playing football when I was like 16 because of it. 7 years down the line and I get a whiff of it and it all comes rushing back.

Thanks for the recommendations on squeegees/towels, I like the idea of putting it in a side cubby. Usually that's just where energy drinks I leave in the back end up rolling to because I'm incapable of driving nicely

While the Fiesta is in the shop for repairs I found this used 5spd AWD CRV for sale. its an 01 single owner with 152k miles on the clock. I ended up selling the Mustang project to a close friend who will see the build through. Fiesta will become the official project car now. I might even toss in a built motor in the Fiesta next year some time. If the Fiesta ever gives me grief again the CRV will be the car I can depend on to get me around town and through the Winter weather.

Had a track day today, I always enjoy how much I can catch up to a lot of the faster cars in corners especially at this track. Downside is that the RT660s enable me to be more aggressive in corners than I should be and I may or may not have lost it twice pretty bad. First run I chalk up to overconfidence on a new track, more speed on a super long straight than I expected and entered the turn bad which turned into bad exits, loss of traction, and spinning 4 off the track. Second time I was battling a Mustang real good and set up for a pass in the straight and think I just left myself too on the inside and broke traction into a 180. We were back of the pack so I had time to get it started again and moving but it was certainly unhappy with me there, but all looks good and drove the hour home just fine so I'm happy enough, I'll have it on jacks this weekend to make sure it is how I think it is. Radiator of course was an issue, heat full blast and it was still running hot by the end of every session, but it held in. Brakes also mostly held up fine save for some pucker factor on the acute downhill hairpin where they had faded on previous turns, but we made it through. All in all, still a really rewarding car on track in spite of its unassuming nature, always fun to have people in much better cars come up to me after a session to give me props for keeping up or passing them lmao

I'm about to (finally) pull the trigger on tranny and clutch and exhaust. I'm going with Clarke (and Woosh of course!), but Ford still offers a new transaxle? and its available?? Works out to Clarke base build $$...
So I bought a whole pile of goodies, now I'm afraid to leave the driveway until the job's done!! Clarke tranny w MPower due in a week or so, Spec Flywheel and stage 1, Woosh DP-MAPerformance Exhaust. As long as I get another 100thou, its a no brainer! Per other posts - Colby Clarke is a pleasure to deal with!

Not even sure they're from BC, I was flying yesterday and we were out doing some sightseeing and we could see the smoke from the fires out near Mt. Adams, though it looks a lot worse than it was. It's not unlikely it's a combination from whichever direction the wind was going.

Installed my diamond Motorsports oil catch can. It’s a pretty easy job. The can can seems like it’s well build and fit up was nice. This OCC definitely won’t rub a hole in my ac line like the previous cheap one did,


Also reinstalled my turbosmart bov which I removed while chasing my misfire issue.

Installed some of the Mountune branded Rallyarmor flaps today! Could’ve really used these to cut back on paint damage when I was on ultra sticky tires. Install was finicky but all things considered pretty simple. Took about 2 hours since all the wheels came off.

I’ll shoot something in better quality down the line, iPhone 7 doing it’s best on this one.

I saw your spotted post about that magnetic ST and thought the timing was funny! Had just ordered mine the previous weekend. Was waiting for them to actually get discounted during a Mountune sale and never saw more than $10 off over the course of a year.

Turns out that Brembo kit wasn't gonna clear my stock wheels and id have rubbing on my fenders at my ride height. After selling my Mustang I had enough money to get a Wilwood kit. Can't say enough good things about the Wilwood kit I ran on my CRZ. This one has 6pot calipers so I imagine the Fiesta will stop on a dime.

Finally got the Fiesta back today. That RTS clutch is stupid light compared to my CRV clutch. Push start system was in some sort of fail safe mode where I had to press both the cllutch and brake pedal to start the car. All I had to do was readjust the clutch pedal sensor to fix that issue. Its gonna be at least 800 miles or so before I can send it full boost.

Reverted back to the stock rims that came with the car and mounted up the Rhino Roof Rack + 1up bike trays.

Didn't love the look of the hypergrams, so they're up for sale now.

Had a nail and a chunk of metal in my rear left tire, went to WalMart Tire Center for one of their $15 repairs but they said it was unrepairable. Funny thing is, it wasn't leaking air for 8 months, but the second they lifted it, took the tire off and put it back on, now suddenly BOTH of my rear tires are leaking, with the previously undamaged one leaking more than the originally skewered one... so I purchased TWO Forceum Hena tires for $133 free shipping. I wanted something very cheap, that was going to run through its lifespan relatively quickly. I searched these forums and didn't find anything about the Forceum Henas. They don't arrive until the 10th so I'm pretty bummed out about barely being able to drive until then. I'll just be commuting back and forth, having to visit ye olde tire air every day either before or after work, depending... I'll do a little writeup on things I notice about them when I've got them on the car. The Nitto Neo Gens up front are getting worn down, so I may put these on the front in order to properly abuse test them.

Swapped in that ravenol gear oil. I pumped that thing up with 2L. Didn’t see a drop come out, so I plugged it. Seems to be driving fine.

Feeling out if I want to go for that B.A.D. rear seat delete kit and half-prepping to do a Bluetooth ethanol sensor install.

The car feels great with a little less weight in the back. Feels like it rotates a little more linearly. Also pops are sounding extra crisp now. Fun experiment for sure. For anyone else wanting to do the same, don’t forget about the plastic pop clips holding the plastic trim to the rear seat brackets. I was so confused as to what was stuck.
