I just went with team dynamics 1.2 17*7.5 with 53 offset as suggest by PCA to fit as close to stock look and will be going a 215/40 tire for a slightly wider and a touch taller. Not sure if that helps.
7.5 wide with 5mm higher offset than stock? Be careful with strut to tire clearance, especially if you put in more negative camber via the hub bolts.

I run 7" wide with +42 (6mm lower offset than stock) and -2.1 camber and I basically cannot go wider tires than 215/40/17 Dunlop Z2 Star Specs without going to a lower offset wheel. The tire is very close to the strut.

I ran everything by Chalon over at PCA when I was figuring out what to order. He said the 53 offset was only a .4 mm difference than stock. Idk what calculations or if offset is measured differently on different wheels. But I'm hoping he knew what he was talking about. I'm not too educated in this department and don't plan on messing with camber or lowering my car. But I appreciate the heads up and welcome any more debate on whether or not it's a good choice.

7.5" 53offset and 215 tires does sound like it would be really close to strut.

I'm not saying it won't fit, it will just limit your tire and camber choices. Btw, make sure to factor in the additional .5 wheel width.

This is a handy tool as well. According to this tool your new setup would be approx 11.4mm CLOSER to the strut.

Im still searching, im very confuse i dont wan to pay $800-$1200 in wheels/tires and then be not happy. I dont know if i should go with the 16" on 7 or 7.5 or go with 17" on 7 or 7.5. I just saw another option and that is 195/45/17. This is not going to be easy. More help?? Just a remind i want something that look not too small not too big, no rub, no tire stretch. I dont know much about tires, so i dont know if 205 will look stretch on 7 or 7.5 wheel. Please help

205 is the stock size and stock rims are 7. I personally don't think they look stretched. I wouldn't go any lower than that though. People go 215/40 for a wider surface for the pavement.

If I go 17s i'll be going 205/45 for a more comfortable ride.

After spending hours of searching the set up that i like is the 215/40/17x7.5 but since the car is stock im afraid is going to look funny with the 40 sidewall and the extra .5 stick out. Than i look at the 205/50/16 and notice that they will fill up the gap more than the 17". So that confuse me more. Thats why im here im looking for a set up that will look good on stock.

17x8 40 offset 73. Anyone know if that fits on the stock suspension using 225/45 tires?
There's absolutely no way that those will fit on the stock suspension without probably at least 30mm worth of spacers on each wheel. That doesn't even start to take into account a wider and taller tire.

I figured the tire would be the biggest issue. Going up 5 mm on sidewall would probably negate the whole setup. I'm just not sure what to get because I want max grip using the Bridgestones in all gears when running Stage 3. I guess I may have to settle for 215s on a 7.5 rim :-(

When I was about to order that size PCA said id want to lower the ride height as it would be a very aggressive set up. Not really clear what that means. But he said stay with a 45et and up on stock height.
17x7.5 e38 would probably be good with 225/40 as long as your stock height.

I dont get it...45 offset will push the wheel closer to the strut tho...especially if the width of the rim is wide.

I have no clue just sharing what was given to me because PCA had a set of 17*7.5 38et in stock and he suggested I didn't go with that because of the above mentioned reason. Also noted that I was going to run 215/40/17. I don't know tires at all but I'm counting on him being accurate as its what he does.
