Correct. It has a 2.5" flange which mates perfectly with 2JRs downpipe. They also do this with their CBE. Something about maintaining higher exhaust velocity. I haven't gotten any logs yet as I installed late last night. I probably won't grab any today either as I have to "shake the bugs" out from under the car to get rid of the rubbing. I do plan on logging though.

And Warranty safe is a bunch of BS. I have yet to have a warranty issue with ANY cat back system in all the years I worked at a ford dealership and all the time I have had at an audi store. Software programming....sure but exhaust....nope.

For that price it better be made out of beryllium.

OK, I've read thru a zillion different threads on a bunch of different boards, listened to a ton you youtube video's etc. but I've got a question: what is the general consensus for which cbe (with stock downpipe) is the quietest or most subdued? I know opinions are like a******s, but I've got to find something that won't piss off the wife. I'm looking for something that is fairly quiet at idle and just cruising around, but will give me a little noise when I get on it. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, $900 is a little strong. Crap, I might do what someone said earlier in this thread...take it to a muffler shop, cut the stock muffler out and put a turbo muffler back on. Probably can be done for less that $100. If it sucks, I guess I could try another muffler or put the stock one back one.

I do not know if I can or not. They didn't say either way but I guess I can say I didn't pay much more than the Injein exhaust retail price. And to me, the Cobb one sounds amazing.
Holy crap that is a DEAL! I bought mine a while before the sale but I too love the COBB. It gurgles and pops at the right times. It sounds mellow enough when cruising or taking it easy in a neighborhood, but it practically roars when you let loose or want to let the other loud cars near you know you're there.

I have some video of the COBB interior sound that I have to put up. I also have to re-do an external video I did today because it sounds like muddy ass for some reason. I'll be uploading those either tomorrow or tonight depending on how lazy I am. Probably tomorrow because it's gonna be night by the time I get out of work.

I would like to hear those interior clips. I was going to do a sounds delete kit because I want to hear the exhaust. Do you feel like the sound symposer interferes with the exhaust note at all?

And it was a hell of a deal. I was going to wait until the Spring but even if Cobb does a Memorial Day sale it won't be as great as a deal as I got from ModBargains. Last deal Cobb had was 5% off. So I wasn't holding my breath. No offense to Cobb, I get they're a company and can't give TOO much of a discount. But I'm happy ModBargains did their sale when they did. Just sped up the process a little bit. Ha.
