Ok after reading this i think im gonna go MBRP. How loud is it compared to the mustang ? I just came out of a 96 gt with 11:1 compression off road x pipe and dumped mac mufflers. I dont want anything near that loud for a dd again. But i want my FiST to sound angry lol.

I can I imagine the drone you had with those, lol. It will be no where near as bad as that. It's a totally different sound though. Your mustang was much deeper in tone than this will be. Think of the mustang as a baritone sax and the FiST as an alto sax ( Google the different saxophones if you don't know the sound difference ). Both can be loud but different tones.

It's definitely daily drivable loud, IMHO.

Can you post a sound clip im about to pull the tirgger on a mbrp catback.

I could try to get a clip but the quality would not be great. It is loud but not pull me over loud. It burbles and crackles on decel and is REALLY loud around 3-4k but it tones down higher then that. It does drone with the factory downpipe (which I have to keep for classing) and it is noisey at 80mph under load.

That all being said, I still like the noise and I'm glad I went with the MBRP. It is still quieter then my evo with 3inch turbo back from AMS.

None taken, to each their own. I liked the Cobb as well it was just a matter of what I wanted to spend on 304 stainless and I wanted 3inch.

I received my cobb cbe last week friday but not installing till either im sure no more snow or someone buys my Magnaflow exhaust. You seem to have the same low tolerance of loud exhausts as me so i actually cant wait to hear your opinion on it.

I wanted to wait too until the of the month but I can't. Ha. I'll definitely let you know how it sounds in this thread because you're right, I don't enjoy loud exhaust.

This is perfect. Im gonna jump on the mbrp. It sounds exactly like i want it to especially with the dp. When i install my atp dp i am just gonna do the mbrp catback at the same time

I like it. It's a little loud on cold start as you can hear in the cold start video, but once warmed up...it almost sounds like it has a different set of cams, lol. I had the borla previously and I thought it sounded good too, but wasn't loud or raw enough for me.

The front Windows were up and the rear windows were down.
