I built a very high end gaming system with triple 24" 144Hz monitors in early 2104 with Windows 7 and the best I5 processor(better clocking performance than the I7) but then found out I could not get the data flow I needed to run Iracing at most of the tracks I was preparing to visit so I sold it.

Next I had HP build me a 17" fast laptop with Windows 7 but my wife wanted 8 for her less but still custom 15" system and it SUCKS compared to my Win 7 system, 8 is the stupidest pile of sheat MS ever released!

BestHP.jpg BESThp2.jpg bestTQ.jpg

3 of the 5 logs used in the pics are at that datazap location if anyone is more interested in details.

These logs were taken in various weather conditions at various times of the day with slight changes in the tunes. The weight of the car also when up during some of these runs ( due to tools, fuel level, passenger etc ) but are no reflexed in the VD picture because, honestly, I run literately 100's of logs in a given month and keeping up with just what was in or not in the car at a given time is too much. but for instance. the log that says 260hp, it actually made 264whp with the corrected weight put in. these logs all share the same weight because its just my default weight of the car.

anyway... besides the horsepower, note the torque on all 5 dynos, it NEVER DROPS LOWER THAN 201TQ, even at the time I shit down in the 6400+ area. Also notice the car generally never stops making power. Also factor in, I have a few "hard parts" working against me. #1 being the stock intake. #2, I really think the compressor outlet pipe is hiding some power. All that... and... I'm still not done. it has power yet still to be unlocked.

Sourskittle, This makes me happy, and I can't wait till I save up the money to send you for a cyborg turbo. :)
When I'm running the stock turbo ( like right now ) I really do miss it. After a couple months with it, I kinda forget how much better it is. Then a trip back to just cobb Stg3 tune and stock turbo reminds me real quick. I truely, honestly do prefer the way the cyborg drives over the stock turbo.

Its not a GT garrett turbo or an EFR, but its nice little "sport" upgrade. I had hopes of going to something larger in the future, but with the power its made recently, coupled with the lack of supporting mods, I'm not sure a bigger turbo is in my future anymore. I've positive that I can clip 270-275whp with all the mods to support it, great air, and E40. I've been this route before and every car has a point, a point where it goes from fun and reliable, you "win some, lose some" racing, and its just a good time to ALL OF A SUDDEN, your eating up clutches, your gearbox is over powered, your popping axles, your racing cars YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS RACING ( I did the the other night, 2014 audi S4 me by one car length to 120mph ). And it becomes more of a non-stop project to make the car faster, while keeping it on the road parts wise at the sametime. That point is really yet to be seen with the fiesta ST. I'm pretty much gonna develop this turbo, do the supporting mods, and retire to things like shifter bushings, special brake pads, antenna upgrades, and things like that. I focus on tuning and power so much, I don't get too much time to really enjoy the other aspects of owning this car.

Can say that meth/water injection, 2J racing intake, larger intercooler, compressor outlet pipe should all be more than able to add 11whp to my best V-dyno and met my ultimate power goal on "kill mode". Then I'll prob take it down a peg on the tune to 250whp and the clutch should stay happy, driveline should stay happy, motor should stay happy, and can move on to upgraded door inserts and weather-tech floor mats. Lord knows.... One day.... I may even get lighter wheels !!! Lol.

Also... For the record. I was thinking I'd develop another turbo upgrade for budget minded guys. A TD04L based wrx turbo with an upgraded compressor side, using an adaptor plate. But I think this turbo is doing so well; and the next step to a 310whp gt turbo is "right there", so... A turbo upgrade that is in between maybe a little pointless.

I don't want the car to loose its personality either, so a cyborg will prob be it for me, and I can live with that :)

Cool to see the skill involved. That looks like you'd wanna be confident on that lathe there lol.

Great video and I agree completely about too much power can lead to less fun, less reliability. The Cyborg results are incredible and though mine was not fully tuned on E30 before I decided to move on it was far better than the stock turbo to drive and quicker where you need it the most, stump pulling torque is not what a car like this needs, just really good response and a nice wide power band:)

I am going to the EFR, what I always planned since buying the car but I had to give the Cyborg a run and am glad I did, great fun:) More out of curiosity than anything else now, the Cyborg would of done all I needed, the GT route was no challenge and the EFR is just the better turbo and I want to see what we can do with it here in NA compared to the EU.

I most highly recommend the Cyborg for all but a few of use that just have to keep exploring:)

I'd recommend a catless downpipe before ( it can have a cat if it HAS TO, but power will suffer a bit ).

Besides that, I'll PM you my number so you can text me any questions, or post them here if you want :)

Sourskittle, what is the asking price for one of your turbos? Also, I'm running Cobb's complete stage 3 kit with your turbo inlet, is there anything else I'd need to run your turbo?

The turbo unit its self is $850 plus a $250 core without the manifold/ turbine porting. You'd also need a wastegate ($100 total ). You can port your own manifold to save $350 ( and save me from a 12 hour date with an electric die grinder, lol ).

Best bang for the buck turbo upgrade by great deal, the power curve is so far better than the stock turbo it is is hugely more drivable and fun. I had the first Cyborg and had a great time working with SS on tuning, tweaking, and seeing the results, I always planned to go to an EFR so this was a interim step and I wonder sometimes why I sold mine!
