Its a tune done by me using access port, access tuner. $150 from cobb.

I almost had panda tune my car, but I ended up sticking with my own tuning.

Its actually not available to buy. If you buy the cyborg and buy access tuner from cobb, you can have it for free. Keep in mind... Its tuned for MY CAR in MY CLIMATE. I'll provide the tune for free, but I'm not editing it for your car or your gas or your elevation. Its me being a friend, not a business transaction. So reallize its on E35 appox fuel and on a car with a stock intake. Bolted to another car, it would prob make more power.... Or it could knock, pull timing, and make less power.

I recommend people to goto Panda. They have the experience with this turbo. I am not in business with panda, and they don't tune my car, but they are making good numbers on pump gas with this turbo, which is light-years ahead of me on pump gas. I can't stand pump gas, lol.

My custom tag will either read "Korn Fed" or "N4DAKIL". I love my eth.

Good to know, I was asking because I have Accesstuner Race and run an E40 tune currently.

So, no HPFP pressure issues with pushing this much power on E35?

The limit of the stock pump is between 310-330whp. But that is on race gas with E10 content. Using E50 the limit will be much much lower.

I also highly recommend Matt at Panda, he is really the best for the Cyborg and the most experienced and you could probably safely make a pull with the SS version of the tune to give Matt a jump start on getting yours done.

Too late now but I sold my cyborg and bought all the parts for an EFR build or I would of had the latest mod done to my Cyborg and tried Torco again just to see what it would do. It was better than 91 but not as good as E30 though there were other issues causing lack of gain on the Torco that were not figured out until I switched to E30. I am likely to try Torco on the EFR as far less costly than race fuel and it does not effect the fuel flow like E30, etc does.

I have not returned home and pulled the Cyborg to ship it off yet but I miss it already!
I have been driving my daughters NA Mazda 3 S a bit here in AZ and it seems so SLOW!

Something that occurred to me that maybe SS, or Rick or anyone with more knowledge than me can answer.

Filter size on the Cyborg.

While the Cobb filter was sufficient (according to them) for a stock turbo, is it sufficient for the Cyborg? There's still some things we don't know about the Cyborg being a labor of love. So I'm thinking of picking up a cheap Autozone filter to do some logging with. I need to log the MBRP first, but would it (for data) be worth it?

You mean the drop in filter into the stock air box? Because I'm positive the air intake system is holding me back.

I want to do some "before and after" logs with 2J's race intake. I'm positive it would show some nice gains.

Now on the stock turbo, its running 14psi at 6500rpm, where as the cyborg is running 24-25psi on my car at 6500 rpms. That's a heck of a lot of difference in load on the filter.

Hopefully 2J is building more race intakes than the ones that were pre-ordered because I want one something bad, but I just couldn't put the money out that far in advance for a 2+ month wait. I have other pans on the stove.

Maybe someone will get the race intake and not like it and sell it to me, lol. My race insert is causing all kinda of false knock when i shift because its all worn-out, I need an upgraded mount more than anything, but since it doesn't add power, I'm not going crazy over it, lol.

I was speaking of the baby filter on Cobbs full intake. But we should include that in the conversation too since ATP claims to haven't changed it.

Hijinx No one really knows what ATP has or hasn't done as they seem to work under cloak and shadow tactics. lol

Beat me to it... Atp made all their results way before the cobb intake was released.

My personal belief is that the main issue with the air intake system on this car has way more to do with the length and the amount of bends, then the size/dia of the piping, THEN the filter size.

The 2J addresses all of those issues, but I do very much reallize that its not a solution for everyone ( as does Joe ).

I'd imagine cobb may have some input. I know when stage1 came out they made a big deal about keeping the air filter clean in the stock air box.

If I had to take an air intake that was free, but not 2J's, it would be the cobb. For the price and everything else figured in, I would prob go a different direction, but price is always a bigger factor for me than it is a lot of guys. The 2J race mount was extremely chosen because I paid $40 for it. It was worth $40, but I did expect linger than 6 months out of it.

Well, Cobb has handled diameter; not much to do about the bends in regards to it. I'm going to give it a try. Maybe run the filter open, get some logs, then put on a slightly bigger or maybe longer filter, and get some logs in and out of the box.

I built this with around $120 or so in parts I happened to already had.

I know I have posted about it before but for those that many not of seen it or a refresher, a little time and thought can go a long way for making probably the best intake there is for this car that still does not make a ton of noise in the cabin like the cowl ones will and do.

True cold air, might be considered a bit of a ram air.
Flared inlet for better flow.
Lined 3" brake duct hose, lined means much cleaner flow.
Flared port tube reversed, leading edges inside hose tapered.
Round filter housing, low weight, fun to empty before use, lots of race cars have round housings for a reason.
AEM dry filter fit right in perfectly.
3" aluminum tube, heat wrapped, to adapter to turbo with 2" inlet, I am going to extend the wrapping and do the bottom and sides of the filter housing next.
MAF mount from Ebay, screwed to tubing, no need to have it welded on.

Note: Grill mounted intake requires moving some wiring around under the headlight and possibly relocation of filler for washer bottle, my car is getting a rear mounted smaller bottle so easy for me. I make it even better during the radiator install, less bend, major work on core support...then put the bottle back in for now until I get to the rear mount solution. The stock intake above the radiator could be used and augmented like some other intakes use if desired.
