What did you do to your Fiesta ST today ?

I did sort of an early tune up for winter. Still too early to change to winters so I didn't do that yet. I did new Ruthenium plugs, very nice amsoil oil filter, and some cheap local Canadian synthetic oil that I'm a bit apprehensive about trying.

The Amsoil EaO34 is the equivalent size to the FL-400S Motorcraft, but yeah, it's even a little bit longer than the 400.

Had planned on swapping out my rear shocks with some Bilstein B6s, but got stuck removing the lower bolts. Time to go impact wrench shopping.

The session wasn't a total loss, I rotated the tires and replaced my rusty amazon lug nuts with a set of McGards.

Ya I saw that and I even asked the local amsoil dealer if he had it but he didn't. He just stocks the ea15k51 oil filters because he uses them himself on his miata. I'd been using the fl400s on every previous oil change but i did a little research and found out that this amsoil filter has one of the best ratings at 99% efficiency at 20 microns. The FL400S is 80% at 20 microns, which isn't bad at all and is actually pretty good but I just like the peace of mind of having cleaner oil in my car. Also, I'm new to amsoil and I'm going to be trying out the amsoil 5w20 oe series on my next oil change.

Are those installed correctly?!?

If so, I am impressed that they could even go that high at all, let alone function at that height!
I might even consider those if they can be functional at 2"+ lower than that!

As far as I know they are [emoji2369]. I just raised the ride height I don't know what I did wrong. I tried to set the coil to the same length as the factory struts. But it didn't really work out lol

I think you got to loosen the locking collar which is on the bottom. Then you turn the top collar to adjust the height. They look reverse threaded so turn the lower collar clockwise to loosen it. Then turn the upper collar counter clockwise to bring it down. But don't take my word for it lol. Please read the manual.

Yes, if you are going to change it often (like at the 3K miles which most seem to consider very wasteful, even for much lesser oils than we are discussing) then the OE series would be fine, but then most of the synthetics on the shelf at Wal Mart, or whichever equivalent stores you have near you in the great Northwest, are also just fine, and of a similar NOACK number, TBN, and base stock/additive pack composition.

For me (but yes, admittedly, I AM most definitely 'overkill OCD' about this stuff!), I just like the much higher PAO base stock content, and better additive pack (besides the significantly lower volatility due to the base stock's high PAO content, which helps repel/lessen LSPI in TDI engines) of their Sig Series.

The oe series is tested to prevent 100% of lspi as is the signature series. Not to mention the new api SP and gf 6a formulations that are out now, all the synthetics will probably work good. I guess it just comes to personal preference. I do like the low volatility of the signature series though.

I went to Medellin two years ago and was surprised at how many Fiesta STs I saw, well it was only about 4 of them but still I consider that a lot. Even saw one in the parking lot at the Rock at Guatape.

Our 2014 FiST, at 145k miles, got a complete drivetrain transplant over the weekend (if you haven't seen my thread on the replacement already). I got a 2015 22k mile engine, transmission, mounts, wheels, suspension, subframe, etc. from @Aeromoto a while back and I took the long weekend to replace the engine and transmission, along with their mounts, plus obviously the oil, filter, transmission fluid (Motul DCTF), coolant, and I went ahead and installed the Iridium one step colder pregapped plugs and Mishimoto thermostat from @ron@whoosh while the engine was on the hoist- WAY easier than doing the thermostat in the car, lol. Today I'll reinstall the hood and finally do the Cobb tune I've had sitting in the garage for 2 months, didn't see any reason to do it when I knew the engine was coming out anyway and I'd have a bunch of fiddling around to do.

I have done so much in the past week or so. Last Friday, I installed Whoosh V1 intercooler, Fog light delete, and Dizzy Tune. Had to wait a couple days for a thin wall socket so I could change the spark plugs with a step colder. After I got the plugs changed, I went driving this weekend to start getting my 100 miles in for logging. Tune is a lot different then Cobb Stage 1. Power is more linear instead of pushing you in your seat burst. Tried to race an Audi and BMW put slowed down at 120mph since my daughter was in the car.
Today I finally got my ST200 intake, $160 shipped. I have been waiting for two months from another vendor in the UK that had them for sale for $86 shipped, but they didn't ship it. I had to wait for Paypal to issue a refund. Now just waiting on my Mototune Intake Pipe and Whoosh cross over pipe. Mototune didn't address my box right, so it is traveling the world right now.
