Waiting to see to see consistent numbers before I pull the trigger, also wanting to see what people do to get max numbers on just pump gas. Reliable, fast, consistent power.

Here is a link to my best E30 vDyno w/stock turbo vs my best E30 vDyno w/the X37. The stock turbo run was done in around 70 degree weather, and it was about 86 degrees and much more humid for the X37 run, so not really an apples to apples comparison. Adam said I need a stiffer wastegate spring for more boost, so I'll be getting that installed and re tuning soon. But all other mods were the same, the only change was the X37 turbo.

Nice results, a 64 whp peak gain and more power through out the entire rev range! It appears on your graph that you increased torque + 50 lb/ft once past 5k rpms thumbs up, and you have a very nice infusion of HP once you hit 5500 rpms and about the time that the factory turbo begins to peter off.

For the stiffer waste gate spring, is this above and beyond the Tune+ upgraded WGA?

Yes, I'm running the Tune+ actuator preloaded 1 turn per Adams instructions. I was told to add a 5psi inner spring which is what I'll do.

I'm not familiar with adjusting springs (doesn't sound complicated) and I appreciate any info that you can offer once you do this as I would rather adjust this while replacing to the X37 instead of having to go back after.p

Thanks!

No one is encouraging street racing, and it's for science and stuff and to show the potential of the X37 against a VERY viable car

PS: What's the mods on the X37 FiST in the video? Typical list, intake, exhaust, DP, intercooler, and upgraded WGA?
Intake, downpipe, exhaust, WGA.

The car is out of fuel, waiting on some supplements for more GAINZZZZZZ. Car is hardly anywhere close to being maxed out power wise, just fuel wise.

Here is the video from the back, I'd say about 3 cars and still pulling when the stocker backed off. Will be even worse when it gets another 3psi and 5? of timing. Plus, if you watch the first video he gave the both a car head start. LOL. My customers car is full weight where as the stock turbo car is gutted.

So much for not being "impressive".

I'm glad that you brought this option to the US as well, as it appears to be a fantastic product at a great price. I can't wait to receive and install mine, and review the heck out of it.

It's nice, but I'm just not impressed. I think the stock turbo v Mustang is more impressive. This particular video doesn't highlight the differences (between Fiestas) which may be more obvious in a better situation. A highway stripe is 10ft long. A "car length" is about 15ft; he's 2 car lengths ahead in this screenshot. Again, I think it is a great alternative for those who prefer a cheaper experience.

You're not impressed by a $1300 turbo that will achieve 90% of the results of a DHM quickspool kit at 1/3 of the price, while having faster spool and maintaining factory-looks? Interesting.

Edit: when I say "results" I mean peak power. The spooling characteristics of this turbo alone would make me choose it over the remaining 10% increase in peak power a DHM kit would offer. So in my eyes it's 1/3 of the price and better overall. But to each their own.

So what about the guys that get the GT2554R's, GT2860R's, and the GTX variants and have a tough time breaking 300whp? That is 3-5k depending on the kit compared to $1,200 and it still makes 300whp. You have to understand that the red car is full weight + Baby seat and baby stuff (LOL), the stock turbo car is gutted, DHM Crash Bar, and wiper delete (I guess?), on a brand new engine (I've noticed when tuning the 16MY's respond much much better to boost/timing). The Red car is running 26psi and the Black car is at 29psi, which is max scenario, you aren't going to have another Fiesta doing the same thing on a stock turbo. So if you ran this race out from 40mph to 110mph without the headstart the gap would be much greater.

What impresses me is the price point, it's 300whp capable, has went 13.2 on stock tires and full weight on 91oct+methanol (less power than E30), and spools like stock and doesn't require you to change anything at all. GT series turbo's are laggy, can't hold boost up top even with a 20psi actuator, and cost twice the price.

You gut a X37 car on E30 and put radials on it and it is going deep into the 12's. All for $1,250.00

I'm here to read reviews of the turbo since I am considering getting one for my fiesta, hence what the original post was about. Not to watch videos street racing videos. Still waiting for a review of someone taking it to a road course and providing some good info. I'm pretty much making my fiesta into a track car at this point. Roll bar is next before I do the turbo upgrade. Safety first!

Track videos are all very subjective to the driver so more dyno and 1/4 mile times would tell me more. When on the track I felt like I was operating mostly in the inefficient zone where the stock turbo was out of breath so this setup should feel GREAT on the track! It shouldn't really create anymore heat than a stock tubo.

Excatly! I feel the same way as well when I track my car. I know track conditions but more importantly the driver make a difference. But usually with times posted gives some reference point if someone is going to the track often enough. I would like to know coolant temps, oil temps, and charge temp difference if there is any. The thing with driving on track is the car is always going to be consistent, the biggest variable is the driver. I've been pretty consistent at getting 1:32 at streets of willow. I am also installing this x37 on a friends fiesta in the next week or two.

back from the 1/2 mile event. did some running. beat a 90s z28 in the half. got beat by new Camaro with turbo and meth injection. new Camaros and stangs and older vettes ran around the 140 to 150s, newer vettes and caddys pushing 170s, gtrs and Lamborghinis' took over from there. most people were great. top speed posted was 245 by a Bugatti. meth injection is needed badly. intercooler temps were high....fwiw, bob

Interested to hear your personal impressions of your friends car after the install. I only have 91 gas here in Vegas or I'll have to do e85 mixes, but I'd like to know how the car is on just pump 91.

hey vegaspyder> on the way from Minnesota to Colorado I was lucky to hit places it was fairly easy to get a e30 mix. on the way back it didn't work out. slightly different route and poor timing. so back to a slot on the map that was dyno tuned for 91 with no ethanol.
....here is what I thought....the pump gas x37 set up was about the same as an aggressive stage three from mountune. just was half the price of the stage three setup. all of the mountune parts were great quality. but the mp215 hand held unit alone (along with the upgrade to 230) added up to cost the same as the turbo. guess which I would have rather had in the first place....bob

hey mods I posted this thread to talk ab out my car and the results I had. not to listen to smart alects argue with bs. please delete the whole thread as I was the one who started it. thanks bob
I'd hate to see your entire thread deleted since there is some good information in which you and a few others have shared with the community regarding your x-37 turbo installation, discussions, and reviews...

I suggest for now we temporarily close this thread and then I can go through later, review the posts, and clean up some of the "distractions" and then re-open...
