Take a look at where it is rubbing, likely the area where the fenders bolt to the bumper cover. l

If so you can use a flap disk on an angle grinder(easiest method) and remove the lower bolt and flanges, leaving two bolts left, that might be all you need to do, easy fix and nobody will ever know if you do a nice job and treat the exposed bare metal.

This has been done by myself and at least one other owner.

Let us know if you do this, if rubbing elsewhere, etc...and the wheel offset info.

205/55/r15 is the recommended size for 15" wheels, but willtheyfit.com shows that 15x6.5 setup is larger in diameter by 1.76%.
195/55/r15 however on a 15x6.5 is 0.05% smaller diameter.
Is 1.76% change in diameter pretty negligible as far as gearing and acceleration and all that are concerned? Otherwise why is the 195 not a better tire choice?

I m running 195/55 but think I will switch over to 205/50 with a larger foot print... Traction is an issue LOL

Do you get any rub with your setup? I'm thinking of getting the same rims, although I'm not sure whether the 15x7 or 15x8 is a better fit.

I would go with the widest rim you can fit and not to wide a tire for the best handling, 205 on an 8" is ideal!

Just remembered that I need to stay within an inch to be in stock such class, but I'll keep that in mind if I ever decide to go nuts on mods...

8" is about all you can find, others are wider or narrower but by an inch in most cases.

For autocross use a 15x8 with a 225 may be best, for the street and road race tracks I go to a narrower tire for better sidewall support, 225 tires on my 9" wide wheels works great.

Sorry, I meant an inch in diameter, not the width. So I could run a 16" rim and stay in stock, but a 15" rim would put me in street. There might be changes in the 2015 rules though.

Here is a nice low weight well made wheel that is very cost effective and looks good.

Made by Konig, I have the 17" Konig version that is just a bit different, 16.8lbs, the 16" below is in the 16lb range as I recall and just $420 a set and they have a $50 discount right now as well so $370!

I have had dozens of sets of wheels from low cost well made to $$$$$$$$$$ really stupid nuts priced wheels, these are just fine

You can get the Rival in 215/45/16, ZII Star Spec in 205/50/16 which is even wider than the Rival 215, R-3S in 205/45/16, Exta XS in 215/45/16 so plenty of fast tires to pick from.

Not sure, I know they are strong as I did my first track session on them and was all over the curbs and driving them on some pretty rough roads where I live. Again I have the Konig Feathers but these are the same quality.

For those that can go to 15's the best way to go, if rules allow, 4x100 change, and these roll formed, 15x7, +35mm,10 lbs, $128, Konig made Avanti Racing Storm. I prefer this style over the Konig Dial in I have in 15x9 but had to make sure to clear my 11.75" BBK up front.

They have several 15x8 there but not sure any are made in +35, most are +25mm in that size which sucks for our cars.

This is a new Konig, made in 15x7 and 15x9, +35,4x100 sizes, I will likely switch to these for the track when they are in stock in a month or so.

Unfortunately one of the few, maybe only 15x8 +35mm they have on that site is the Enkie PF01, 12.8 lbs, roll formed, $247 per wheel

The RPF1 in 16x8,+38mm would work, $229 each but probably not over my BBKs and the new 16x8 coming out is less money and would fit.

DAMN, edited now...quoting myself....

I just called the manufacturer directly and got the real answer, at least a year away on 17x8 and 9 but not even in the planning stages on 16's due to the lack of tires most buyers would want the wheels for, racers but they might make them sometime......but might not........

Still the best way to get good wheels is a 4x100 conversion but if you are faced with a set of rules that do not allow a bolt pattern change I suggest putting in the effort to get it changed because you can get superb wheels for great prices. There is no need at all to have to spend a bundle on really expensive wheels when you can do a bolt patten change and get 2.5-3 sets of wheels that are more than good enough for any kind of racing, very low weight, for the price of one set of custom wheels or designer brand wheels

I can only get the RPF1 in that size for now but doubt fit my brakes but more are on the way to being made though I do not know the offset yet.

With a 5mm spacer these should fit my car as well in 15x9, +35mm, roll formed, 12.4 lbs, $175 each

I have to run a 3mm spacer already up front for the current 15x9 so not a big deal as I have APR studs but on the rear not sure I can make it work but love the wheels!

With a bit of tweaking up front and major pain in the arse cutting and welding in the back I could make these work, 15x10, 13.4 lbs, roll formed, $209 each, as in all the wheels posted several colors are available.

I would put 245 or possibly wider race tires on them.

I could do a staggered setup since I have modded the rear to have more grip and run 15x10, 245 up front and 15x9, 225 in the rear with hardly any more work but I like the ease of using a square setup and only have the weight allowance for a few spares.

I would need to do some aero work to direct air around the fronts mostly and some on the rears but I already plan to do that when I can find some time for the 15x9, 225 tires I run now.

I contacted 949 a few months back asking about getting their 15x8 in a 4x108 bolt pattern. They told me they plan on producing them in our bolt pattern sometime this year. So who knows...

Huge fan of 949Racing Wheels, if they do 4X108 15X8, thats what I'll end up picking up, this is good news!
