I was going to until I realized I could access most of the piping and fixed it myself. I'll let them know when I go in (hopefully this weekend) for my free oil change. It really is an issue, considering how many of us noticed a pretty big impact upon torquing them down again. Peloton, did you end up getting dyno'd again after fixing yours and your new intake/exhaust?

I posted these over on FiestaST.org, I hope these help.

Looking towards the front of the car, on the passenger side.

Now, from the picture above, you see that screw clamp second from the rear? It is initially very close to the plastic shield above it:

What you can really do is push it or wedge it out of the way. It's relatively flexible, and all it does is cover a belt. I wedged it out of the way by putting my socket on the screw clamp at an angle, then using that as a fulcrum to leverage the cover to the left. In fact if you look close you can see the outline of my socket wrench etched into the bottom of that cover hahahah.. Anyhow, I recommend loosening this clamp and rotating it so that it's easier to get a wrench on in the future, then tightening it up again.

Moving on, this one is on the passenger side of the intercooler:


Driver's side of the intercooler:

Close-up of the clamp closest to the intercooler - this one is a bitch to get to, in fact I just couldn't. However with a universal joint extension and a longer wrench it should be easy to get to:


And finally if you follow that same hose from the driver's side of the intercooler up the front of the engine, there are these two clamps. This is looking down on the engine from the top, standing on the passenger side:


I was able to get the driver's side (top) one by snaking my hand to the left and underneath that big L-shaped line in the foreground, but I couldn't get the bottom one as there was not enough clearance for the socket wrench. However you could easily get it with an open-ended 7mm wrench.

Finally had a decent enough day to pull my car in the hangar, to check out the clamps. Pretty much was able to get 1/2-2 full turns on all of them. Not sure if it'll affect anything, but, the piece of mind's there, now.

Go give it a whirl. It'll take a few miles for the ecu to see the change if you did have a boost leak. If so, you'll definitely notice a difference. Good luck!

I have to say that I was skeptical. But, after driving home yesterday, and back to work this morning. I have to say it did feel like there was some more pick up, than before. Good find, Guys!

Man finally stopped being lazy, got down and tighten most of my clamps, there weren't as loose of I would expect but give them a good turn just for piece of mind, pretty sure I gained like 100 WHP on the butt dyno [giggle]

Airjor, I take it you are joking, but seriously man, second fell flat on its face unless I revved it to 4k, and 6th gear was completely useless till I clamped them suckers down :) if you aren't kidding, hope it helped!

I'm right around 9k miles, Matt. If you haven't attempted to tighten them, yet. Give it a try, it may surprise you. I know I was. Tux, I live near Beaumont, TX. At work, atm in Fourchon, LA.

every one of the joints was pretty okay accessible except for that nasty one that was facing backwards on the intake side, it was like facing towards the engine and I didn't have enough clearance to mess with it, why the hell would they put on facing towards you and another facing towards the engine?!

Sekred, I had less than 600 miles on the odo when I first tightened them. Yeah.....

I honestly think this whole hose clamp not tight enough is kind of over-blown, I think a nice check at your next service, give it a once over, and then forget about it....until it blows off again haha
