What SHOULD the timing belt interval be?

Hi all.
This video makes a pretty significant argument against wet timing belts used in the ecoboosts.

Maintenance Schedule suggests 150k miles for a timing belt replacement. Who has done there’s and how did it look? Has anyone changed it early? Has anyone had a belt fail early? Thanks!

Our timing belts are not wet belts, however.
There is a good timing belt thread already discussing this subject : HERE
I think it would be a good call to change it after 10 years, even if the mileage is under 150k miles. I have not seen any reports here of timing belt failures. That would be a catastrophic failure, as our engines are interference timing.

I just did mine last weekend, the belt was 10.5 years old, with 148k kms on it. It's quite an involved process, you need to set out a good day, ideally two to work this out.

I'd recommend changing the water pump and serpentine belt while you're in there. You need a specialized tool set, it's not expensive (around 50$ or so). But you do need to jack up the car.
When I replaced the belt with a new one, I noticed the OEM belt had stretched around half a tooth worth of timing on the cam phaser.
