Toyota and Mazda have a partnership to build a electric vehicle. I believe the plant is in Alabama. It looks like Toyota is possibly going to be building a battery plant very close to me less than 30 minutes.
Elon Musk has done several podcasts with Joe rogan. Tesla it is not worried about competition. If anything Elon Musk wants it and fully supports it. Tesla is about moving the needle forward for electric vehicles as a whole. I am not a Tesla fan boy, but they have a unique business model completely different than your legacy manufacturers. I believe they will be just fine. On top of it they probably have by far the best self driving technology.
