PumaSpeed Stage 3 vs Airtec Stage 3 Induction Kits

I'm new here so go easy if this question has been asked before.

My son will be picking up a 65 plate ST-3 next week and over a course of time we will be modifying it to a certain degree (remap, exhaust, intercooler etc).

First mod will be an induction kit, I've read up that the ITG is the best kit to go for performance wise but it looks bland under the engine bay and he wants something that looks a bit more attractive even if it does sacrifice a couple of bhp in comparison to the ITG kit.

So on that note we have nailed it down to two kits, PumaSpeed Stage 3 or Airtec Stage 3.

Can anyone advise me on whether they've had experience with either kit and potentially which is the best bang for our buck?

Comments and help will be much appreciated.

The Airctec intake looks identical to the Forge intake which I have, my guess is they use the same OEM. The build quality is good and the heat shield lines up great. My only complaint is that it doesn’t fit with a bigger radiator and required some cutting.

I previously had the Mountune intake. This is better in every way, apart from making choo choo noises.

Once you’ve got the car mapped I doubt there will be any performance difference between them. So go with the option that looks the coolest.

Intake tract on this car is pretty good even from the factory. Unless he’ll be upgrading the turbo, don’t overthink the intake. Pick the one that he likes best and roll with it. The stock turbo will be more restrictive than any aftermarket intake.
