The windshield fog was my first clue something was wrong. I had read about people having leaks but thought that I was lucky avoiding the issue. We had a hard rain about three months ago. My early 16 and my wife's late 16 were out in the torrent for two days. It was very sunny the next few days. Hers was worse, but both had fogged up windshields. To note, the windshield was the only window fogged. I went looking for water. In both cars the hatch had about an inch of water. I had to lift the cover and pull the spare to see it, but it was sloshing around back there. I don't know why, but both stared leaking about the same time. They didn't leak the first year of ownership and now they do it most times it rains hard.

Tldr; Foggy windshields don't equal front end leaks. A flooded rear can fog the front glass.

I just noticed the other night, my front windshield is fogging up, I've already fixed a leak in my trunk two years ago.

Rex: I have had the exact leaking issues you solved with your Fiesta, water leaking from the rear sides into the spare tire well) . Only I am now out $600 to mechanics (dealer who couldn't fix it and then a leak specialist). Returning my car today to leak specialist in Tigard and I sent them what you did to fix your car, as what they did didn't work. (well they solved the soaking rear passenger floor leak). I am also in Portland, if Liberty Leak can't fix this (ie not willing to take off the tail lights) could I pay you to fix the problem?

So I’m happy to report that the Fiesta stayed dried this whole week [^] and didn’t have any of the previous internal water leaks issues from the hatch. The areas I fixed where the body seams right below the weather rails. Thanks to HAHAFIST [rockon]. I used JB Weld RTV Silicone over the seam. Additionally, I redid the duct tape that was covering the hole right under the tail lights. The old duct tape was barely sticking and was exposing the hole. I used gorilla duck tape to cover the hole.
Just an update... mine started leaking again.... first thing I checked was the seems below the roof rails to find at the Flex seal had dried... and cracked. Guess it's some for something more permanent.

Side note: I completely lost track of this thread. Glad to see some peeps have benefitted!

I think the community would really appreciate if someone could post photos of the suspected and fixed leak points. Descriptions help, but photos are like gold in situations like this, IMO. Thank you for all who can contribute.
