Here are my thoughts on this fine spring (almost) day:

1, I got an AP3 + + filter + RMM used for $403 shipped. Take your time and find one around that price, they are out there...people are getting over their FiSTs and parting out their cars as we speak.
2, Get the $50 Stratified tune. It is way better than the Cobb OTS one.
3, Then get a Pierce Motorsports 2pt front lower traction bar. These are $79 shipped. Read the review I wrote elsewhere here - just as important/helpful as the RMM in my opinion. Without this part you will not enjoy your stage 1 (or greater) power nearly as much, trust me. With it you are golden.

You've spent a bit over your $500 limit, +$32 more, but you now have some basic bolt-ons and a better map and usable power.

Spring for a Boomba quick shift adapter for $85 more....now you've spent $617 and you have a fantastic improvement in steering feel, traction, power, and shifting. Plus you have an AP to monitor things and feel good about yourself.

Good luck.

To echo many others, the accessport. Without a doubt that's the most bang for your buck. And crazy easy to install and use.

I would recommend a set of rallyarmor mud flaps. A solid investment to keep rocks from flying off your tires into the paint. Then some weathertech floor mats are a good investment to save the carpet from future damage. With the left over money see if you can get window tint done.
