I just sold my V8 4runner with a Borla dual exhaust, it sounded like a small block chevy and no drone, after 3 Utah winters it still looked great.
I picked Borla for my muffler on my DIY build, single in and out, then an oval Vbrant tip I modded so it flushes with the bumper angle better and a bit closer to the Ford ovalshape, it is more than big enough to not introduce restriction.
I use 409 SS for most of my exhaust work, just do not need the higher cost shiny stuff when buried under the car but I have built alumanized steel systems before and had them hold up far longer than I needed them to.
