If you have your dealer code and order number, send it to me via private message, and I can track your order. :)

Yes, in my experience they are very long.... I placed an order for a FiST with Recaro's and Wheels (no roof, no nav). 7 months later I got tired of waiting for the one I ordered. I got my deposit back and bought one fully-loaded off of a competitor dealers lot. I regret every decision I've made concerning my relationship with Ford and my FiST!!!

That's not what I like to hear, AshevilleFiST. Shoot me a PM with your name, VIN, mileage, dealer, and best daytime phone number - I'll look further into this.

It is amazing how much questionable information is out there on the car forums. I guess that extends to about everything online. I follow a number of forums on RC aircraft and after 1 plane has an incident, the next thousand posts make it sound like every plane built has the same issue. Turns out, just the one plane had the incident and nobody else had a problem.

As for shipping times, I ordered mine on May 7th and the car arrived on August 18th. The plant didn't start 2015 production until June, so a solid month was spent waiting for model year change-over. My ST started down the production line on July 8th, produced on July 14th, and started the trek north via railcar on July 15th. Expect a solid month for shipping.

My 2011 Fiesta was ordered in early February, the day the ordering banks opened for the Fiesta, and the car arrived July 7th. Production started in May 2010 for that car.
There are a fair amount of people here with the transmission noise/whine, I included. Fortunately it has not cause any issues at all for me yet... just watching closely on the forum and waiting to see a proper fix from Ford.

I'm not a big Forum PM guy. My name is Reed McKenzie, don't know the vin, mileage 14,730, dealer is Asheville Ford Lincoln (was Four Season Ford (Hendersonville)), best #828-505-6027 (if anyone has questions or feels they have a similar problem with their FiST, don't hesitate to call me)

Don't know my vin off the top of my head and my car is at Asheville Ford waiting for a lift to open up so the techs can tear into the transmission and determine the cause of the noise. The service adviser stated the noise is either throw out bearing or the clutch. He said the clutch is a "wear item" and won't be covered, but the throw out bearing will be covered under warranty. My car has 14,730 miles and I've owned it for less than a year. This is my 3rd "official" warranty claim since I got the car. I had less problems with my 170,000 mile BMW.

This is all after Four Seasons Ford in Hendersonville NC stated the noise was "engine rollover noise" and a "normal characteristic of the vehicle"

This is very similar to the noise my FiST is making. Stay tuned and I'll let you know how things progress with my car.

Here it is; with less than 15k miles and less than 1 year of ownership. My 3rd warranty claim; after both a top right motor mount, and paint flaking off the front bumper in several places...

I'm at 25K miles and making the same noise. Any further info from your dealer visit?

No further info yet.
Rest assured though; I will do a write up about my experience when it's all said and done. Hopefully it will help others with this same transmission issue.

I had to track down my salesman (actually saleswoman) over and over and over again to get updated on the delivery date of my original special order FiST (I wanted Recaros but no sunroof). 7 months later, still no FiST or even a firm date of expected delivery, so I broke down and bought one with a sunroof from a different dealer (after getting my deposit back of course).

Anyways, I'm starting to experience the same issue of having track down my service adviser to get updated.... LITTLE TIP FOR EVERYONE: Never stop at the first service advisors desk when you pull into the lane. Go to the last desk and wait as long as you have to, the service advisor in the back has usually been at the dealer the longest and will do a better job taking care of you.

Hey 1l2l,

Did you receive a diagnosis from your Ford Dealer yet? Shoot over a PM with your name, dealer, and best daytime phone number, and I'll look over some options on my end to see how I can help.

Thank you, Reed. I'll send this up the chain to a regional customer service manager, who'll work with both you and your Ford Dealer for a resolution. Please let me know if this is something you'd like.

Hey no-pistons and Bonesaw,

Have you had a chance to speak with your Ford Dealers about the concerns you're experiencing? Send over a PM with your name, VIN, mileage, dealer, and best daytime phone number, and I'll see how I can help get your STs back to tip-top shape.

Nick

No further info from Asheville Ford. However, Nick has "sent it up the chain" and a regional service rep called today [phonecall]. She stated that she spoke with my service advisor and the service advisor said a clutch has been ordered and is on the way. Funny [histerical] because the service advisor hasn't called me since Tuesday (9/29/15). Remember [?|] this is after just 14,730 miles. Also remember, Ford calls the clutch a "ware item" [readthis] and therefore not covered under warranty. Ridiculous, considering several people on the forum, youtube, and who know's how many more, [scratch] are experiencing this noise/issue far below the normal life of a clutch. [call] I'm talking with a NC Lemon Law attorney here in Asheville tomorrow morning so I'll be prepared when Ford calls me to come pick up my FiST and asks for $600+

Nick and the regional service rep [wave] have been great so far. Asheville Ford and Four Seasons Ford have not...

I picked up the FiST from Asheville Ford today. The service adviser said "the noise was caused by the forks on the pressure plate being uneven." Ford replaced the throwout bearing, DMF, and clutch (all under warranty). It's been a loooong 15 days in a rental car and I'm happy to have my car back. I'll do a longer write up on the experience later.

Well it seems like you just got a bad apple thats all. I have friends with Focus Rs's and out of the 10 friends one of them has a the problems. His, wheel bearings go out quick, his clutch makes noises that my other friend doesn't make. Theres a lot of differences in the cars. I also have friends with Audis, and GTI's also with the same problems. It's just depends on the car. I had a 2015 335i I got it my friends got it guess who's engine blew first? Haha. That's why now I say BMWs are ticking time bombs. And Chevys quality is shit! It's just the luck of the draw. But try getting into somebody else's Fiesta and drive it see how it feels and do some upgrades to yours. But good luck budd!
