This 2013 Fiesta sounds like it has literal rocks floating around inside? Is there something inside there that can come loose? And the car is severely underpowered. I know the cat is clear.

Is it smoking any? Have you drained the oil to look for metal shavings? My worry is a cracked ringland. Which is way deeper than just an intake with a clogged filter

It’s not smokeing at all thought the cat was plugged but it wasn’t and the car runs fine just has no power and sounds like hell lol

Oof - can you grab a video?
Is it all the time whenever it is running?
Does anything change the sound, like clutch in/out, in gear out of gear, etc?

Since it doesn’t sound like an ST we won’t have info specific to your car, more general stuff. Might get more model-specific info on the normal fiesta forums if it comes to that.

Does that fiesta have a dual stage intake setup? If so i wonder if a tumbke flap has busted loose.

It was a problem on the early duratecs. It sounded bad. And worse it could break off and really cause hell.

It’s when you rev it up and let off the fuel pedal or it will constantly rattle if you hold steady around 3000rpm more fuel you give it louder it gets. And yes I can snatch a video when I get back home to it tonight.

I’m not sure what you mean by dual stage intake? I tried to look and see if it has those swirl flaps but externally I can’t tell if it has them or not.

How are your plugs and wires doing? If i remember a base model fiesta has waste spark ignition still. Im wondering if its a bad coil or wire jumping spark.
