Yeah, they are ever so
slightly different!
That is a WRC spec (vs. the older style 'bi-plane', Group A spec wing) wing on his car in those pics.
Did he update/change anything else on that car to WRC spec at that time, before pulling the drive train out for the Fiesta?
I am not the one who tried to change the rear camber, that was RAAMaudio, the starter of this thread.
it was built in Europe to be a WRC car. doesn't even have a VIN #. only on rollcage.
n somehow ended up in the US but owner couldn't get it registered and my bud bought it and brought to Canada.
funny he took it to the office but they surely refused to register.
he brought it back home and minutes later bunch of armed to the teeth cops showed up.
he had all the the proper papers and they left visibly disappointed lol
i had an idea of buying 90th USDM Escort and retag it so he could compete here but he was like... uh what if ...blah blah blah
anyway that's why he had to sell the shell to UK last year.
he never had problems with it originally but after dropping things into Fiesta had to re-do turbo because it melted,
did something with steering pump and now sent all the suspension to UK for rebuild.
he also had this European Ford Sapphire set up for hillclimb:
properly caged, with proper suspension, brakes and everything in between. also sent it to Europe.
too bad i didn't take pictures of it at the time. it was a super cool car as well.
Escort was without a doubt the fastest and best handling car i've been (sort of) co-driving lol
the stage was only 3.5 kms long and one didn't really need a co-driver but was required by the rules
and i used my truck to bring that thing to the "rally".
PS: still can You just use a cutting disk to cut it?
