The ethanol content analyzer is part of the handheld COBB thing or you have to add a device or is this manual haha, I can't imagine you getting out of the car, getting a turkey baster out of the trunk, putting it into the gas tank and then squirting it into a chemistry kit with the floaty ball thing inside, all while wearing gloves, glasses and a chemistry lab coat! [rofl]
Test tubes are used at home usually, you by jugs of fuel and blend at home or race track, etc.

I'm lazy and don't want to put too much effort into it, so I have a Zeitronix Ethanol Content analyzer in my car, it's independent and not part of Cobb in any way. It's just a gauge that eliminates the guess work for me. Like I said, I'm lazy lol. The gauge set up is described here http://www.fiestastforum.com/forum/threads/2870-Ethanol-percentage-hardware-project

You can use the Accessport to gauge if the ethanol content in your tank is sufficient for your tune. I recommend reading this thread from at least this post onward.

I see, E30 seems the way to go.

I haven't decided if I am going to modify it or not, its such a great car stock. Like the best car I've ever driven that is so well sorted stock. There is literally nothing that needed upgrading besides the headlight bulbs and led interior bulbs. Hah!

Wish I could say that about the stang!
Please don't quote me on the "proper" ethanol percentage. I was merely making an observation of what appeared to be generally consistent.

Car is incredibly well-sorted stock. One of the reasons I picked it over GTI (GTI 'needs' 3k+ in suspension mods to handle the way I like. FiST is already perfect for me)

^^^That is a sweet, stealth setup for that gauge! [thumb] GREAT job on that! [cool] (...and you don't even have to give up a vent to do it! [grinking])

An ethanol gauge is not something I need to constantly stare at, so I'm not going to give it any prime real estate, actually there isn't anything else I need a gauge for that the Accessport can't already provide. Once the ethanol content is confirmed I don't go back and look it again, because it doesn't change or fluctuate until the next fill up.
