Compare them to any wheelset I’ve had and they’re much heavier. The TH2s are a close second. 17x8 KE’s are as light as 17x7 Leggendas and lighter than 17x8 Grids by a little. If I only had one set it would be the KEs no question. Not sure how well they’d hold up to street use though.

Should I buy a carbon hood? 🤔
If you just want the carbon look, then go for it.
If you want weight savings you would be better off making your own or paying someone to make you one (ideally in dry carbon as its one of the lightest) . As mentioned above seibon is not the best. In many cases their items are heavier because they just put a single carbon layer over a bunch of fiberglass layers. I have visited their facility here in CA. I would not buy from them honestly.
Molds are treated poorly, have seen fitment issues first hand, and the facility in general seemed poorly managed.

Bummer there’s no real carbon option. I bet AJ Hartman could make one.
I've seen those parts on some local Mustangs on NASA and all the owners I spoke with were happy with fitment and quality. And they seem to make things with weight in mind as well. I'm sure they could whip something up for you

I have a sunroof delete from him on my E46 and it fits perfectly, even inside where the mounting locations are. Next time I’m up at VIR I’ll mention it. I’m sure it’ll be $4k though lol

I could get you one made for about 50x that cost if you want F22 raptor stealth carbon fiber lol

I'd say it's worth it if you are running out of other weight-loss ideas. Swap was easy and the CF hood is much lighter. I don't have a way to measure the hood weights but it's about 10 lbs lighter per the Fiesta ST Weights Thread. I added a couple of washer for the rear to line up, but otherwise, the fitment is good. Rubber piece you see in front is due to the bumper cover bulge from the aftermarket IC install and was there before the hood swap.

Their CF hatch, on the other hand, doesn't fit was well. It's hard to tell in this picture, but the gap on the left side is about double the right side. But I guess making a hatch is more complicated than a hood.

😂 that’s not a bad idea. Blue and purple flames all kook style.

Checkout what Dakota whipped up at 2J Racing this morning. Those guys are so awesome. Slammed with work but put it all aside and built me a delete so I can take the car to Road Atlanta tomorrow. I wish they had more support from the Fiesta community. You guys should see the Ti exhausts with carbon tips they make for the Corollas. It’s absolute art!
