I’m not sure how the system works. There must be a sensor located on the RCM board. @Fusion Works discovered unplugging fuses F20 (10amp - Airbags) and F4 (7.5 amp - Passenger airbag deactivation indicator, passenger sensing system) behind the glove box has the same effect as completely unplugging the RCM. Pulling them definitely works since I had no issues at Barber a couple of weeks ago, nor has he. I’ve since reinstalled the console to clean up the interior and make the car more comfortable when driven on the street.
…also ordered 235/40/17 Nankang AR1s today from Phil’s Tire. I plan to get lap times with the RT660s first so I can see how much faster the Wavetrac is vs the MFactory. Once they’re used up we’ll see if the AR1 is as good as the internet says they are. I hope so because they’re more expensive than RT660s.
Yeah, sadly, Nankangs price$ have leapfrogged even many of the 'major manufacturers' asking rates in the 100/200 tread wear gumball category lately (or at least they have caught up to them).
But they have ALL gone crazy, even since the worst parts of the pandemic and the shortages, etc. were over.
(The same size A052s today are almost $100.00 more PER TIRE than I paid for them not all that long ago! $253.00 per corner for AD09s from TR is insanity!)

AR1 is very popular here in Europe. I have a question do you also run a 235 in the rear? for such a small car this is like a 265 for a megane 3 rs.
Also, are you using these studs? ARP-100-7713

If it were not for the current exorbitant shipping costs, I have a set of A052s in that size with the stickers still on them, never been mounted on a wheel, I would let go for very little (as compared to the $1120.00 TR gets for them currently).
But then again, the AR1s might just be even stickier yet than the Yoks.

Yes I run 235 square. The taller tire won’t permit me to run a 215 in the back without lifting the rear or reconfiguring my aero altogether. Running 235 square is easier for my purposes. Regarding studs, it looks like I ordered ARP-100-7708
I posted my Compomotive TH2 wheels for sale on Marketplace. As soon as I have time to take pics with a sign I’ll post them in the For Sale section here. $1200 plus shipping and fees with Federal RSR 235/40/17 and 949Racing valves. Tires are 95% good. Wheels are near mint aside from normal wear from removal/installation. No curb rash or any other damage. PM me if you want them.
It ended up not raining at all until the drive home. ❤️ Managed to shave 2 seconds off my PB with the new diff even in traffic. Crazy how much better it is. I have a weekend at Road Atlanta in two weeks along with an open track day. I plan to do a lot of aero testing on the open day but I’ll run 1/2 of the first day on the same setup as last year to compare the diffs. I have no doubt it’ll be faster. If I can go back to the OEM wing with my old custom duck bill I’ll be able to pickup more top end too. I highly doubt I’ll be comfortable with that setup though even with AR1s. Let’s hope for clear weather! This time of year is unpredictable and it’s way more humid than it normally is. It was hot as hell today. It felt like August. Y’all keep your cats on so we don’t roast. 😂
The Wavetrac slips under wot too coming out of T7 and T10b. Bummer. I need new tires though. We’ll see what the AR1s and lower splitter do. View attachment 62036
It’s broken so I blew its doors off. He has 295 square so it’s kinda hard to stay anywhere near it when it runs. It was pretty humid this weekend so my car struggled to make power. I got a little frustrated because I could only manage consistent 41s. Thats fast but there is more in it. My clutch still needs to be bled correctly so I need to find someone who can do it. That cost me time along with beat RT660s. Excuses aside, I had an absolute ball. There’s nothing better than open track at Road Atlanta. So much time!!!
