I just finished the install of the Wilwood BBK, including their SS hose package, on my '16 FiST. I've got fluid blowing out the flare side of the adaptors on both sides. Does that ring any bells with any of you?

Thanks.

Wilwood P/N 220-11906 for 2011+ Fiesta. I don't see any other applications from Wilwood.

Whenever you work with flare or AN fittings it is best to ensure completely clean, tighten them down, loosen them up a little, tighten down again, even a third time might be needed to fully seat the fittings.

Instead of pulling them and having fluid leaking you can try the loosening and tightening, I would to it twice per fitting, and see if that fixes it.

I gave that a shot - no dice. Fluid is weeping out of the top of the flare nut. I can see machining groves in the flare face on the Wilwood adaptors - the same face on a couple of Earl's fitting that I have in my AN- box are mirror smooth. I guess that I'm calling Wilwood tomorrow...

Any update? I would be interested to see what Wilwood suggests. Big brake kit is definitely on the wish list. Hope you get things worked out

Not yet - Wilwood asked me to swap adaptors with the side that isn't leaking before they'll send a new adaptor (which is fair). I'll post a solution as soon as I have it.

It's the flare in the pipe. I swapped adaptors and the leak stayed with the pipe. The flare looks fine to me so I'm guessing that Ford's spec. is just a tad different than Wilwood's. I'll try with an Earl's fitting and, if that doesn't work, take it to a brake shop and let them re-flare the pipe. I've never had any problems with bubble flares, even on 30 year old British cars!

I took the car back to the dealer and they re-flared the pipe - the flare was clearly over compressed. All installed with Wilwood 570 fluid and ready to bed.
