What's Black Box Under Rear of Car?

Looked under the car for the first time,wondered what this rectangular box in front of the twist beam in the center of the picture was. This is looking under from the back,the left rear wheel's on the left, muffler's on the right. It's probably something obvious, but I didn't know so thought I'd ask. Thanks. View attachment 11239
