Drove the FiST to Florida for a vacation last week and got back this weekend. So yesterday I replaced the mode door actuator (drivers side), changed the oil, and gave it a wash and window clean. Today my neck and upper arms are sore from the reaching to do the actuator.

yesterday i replaced clips and 3m adhesive on my left side skirt. it was a solid 3hr undertaking because i couldnt figure out how to put it back ON. i eventually got it and the fitment is MINTish.

EDIT: the black you see right above the side skirt in the 2nd picture is actually something to do with the PPF... not planning to pull any of it off, though. just wanted to be clear about the fact that it is NOT part of the 3M adhesive - I made that very well hidden & flush.

FINALLY got the brakes done (after 8 years of ownership and almost 50K miles!), along with a full flush of the brake system and clutch system.

Whoosh 'J hook' slot rotors front and rear, along with Motorcraft factory 'S' pads, and all new hardware (retainer clips, boots, slider pins, mounting bolts).

Goodridge stainless braided brake lines (bought from Ron at Whoosh), and Bosch DOT4 LV brake fluid (highest wet and dry boiling points available in any DOT 4 LV type fluid on the market).

Big thanks to Otis @Next Level Auto in Plainfield, N.J. for the great labor at less than a third of what a dealer would charge for the same, IF you could even find one (or even a private shop) willing to use your supplied parts.

He even wire wheels the rust/crud off of the hub faces/lugs in order to avoid any run out problems, just like in the Royal Auto brake video on you tube.

I am pretty sure that the dealers do NOT do that extra step, and if requested, they would tack on another $150.00 to the bill for the extra 20 minutes work.

I'll post the opposite of M Sport fans - went in for inspection today, 1 year / 17k miles since new tranny and front brakes, came out with new pads and rotors after failing!! Yes it was the "how do you drive" bs, "same as I have since I was 15" and "multiple 100K cars, lots of brake pads", "17,000 is no bueno". Well it seems ford changed the compound on their pads not long ago amid lots of noise complaints. They were dirty from the get go, but I had no idea - fat, dumb, and happy walks into a dealership... shout out to my Ford Service Advisor for telling the truth!

INSERT EBC AD HERE....yellow stuff while the slider pins are still happy.

Had the dreaded clutch sticking to the floor problem, leading to a 3 weekend ordeal of solo replacing the master, slave cylinder, and clutch kit. Would have probably took 2 weekends if I didn't wait to order the clutch until I had visual confirmation of my old clutch life. First real "big boy" diy service done, learned and cussed a lot. Pic is of when I finally got the bell housing back in with the transmission jack and some free harbor freight straps acting as hoist pulleys. Transverse FWD engine Bays are so cramped! Since I've last posted I've done like 3 oil changes and threw on some Yellow stuff pads. I really like how the yellow pads grab and dont make much noise. I used OEM before and they didnt last very long at all, plus I think they make a ton of dust? Idk, but yellow seems to be the sweet spot.

Oh also I replaced the windshield because a rock hit it down near Salt Lake City at ~80mph.

I gotta find a boost leak I have somewhere. It doesn't show up on the boost gauge but I can hear it. It's very annoying. I think it's just a look clamp but finding boost leaks sucks.
