Disregard last post, lost power for 13 hours yesterday so didn’t have time to install my whoosh cross over pipe. So until I can tomorrow I did this first.

Oh completely agree [emoji23] but even if it’s a little difference it’s something. Also is right in your face so it’s not too much in your face

Is this gold?? And by that I mean - aluminum foil?

DEI heat reflecting tape

I'd be curious to learn how it performs. People have complained about peeling - even with a thorough surface prep, the smell for the adhesive, and - ironically - heat soak that cause an increase in the air temps.

I exposed it to a heat gun for an extended period of time for that same reason to see what would happen and have not noticed any peeling. I also had enough for more than one layer of tape. I have some pretty good logs to compare intake temps to so I’ll be watching for any decrease or increase. If I see any negative effect I’ll report that back here.

Buy the good stuff....not cheap stuff and you won't have as much of a problem.

Wasn’t top of the line stuff but wasn’t the cheapest either and it was leftovers that didn’t cost anything so we’ll see lol

Finished a Catch can install today (yesterday, actually). I bought a universal one off eBay and put together my own mounting brackets and hoses using an oem-style pcv hose (rockauto) so the couplings remain the same on the intake manifold. The bracket mount is a bit wobbly so I’ll have to reinforce some how..but it seems to hold it in place. I like the finished product. IMG_1061.jpeg

The cheapest option, EM plus v1.2
Thanks, I'm probably going with that one as well, since that unit is much easier for my ancient eyes to read (especially in the bright sun) than BOTH the Scan Gauge AND the AP V3! [thumb]

Installed the whoosh cross over pipe, though I’d be cool and save some time but not taking the cowl off........just take it off if you’re wondering. The fit is tits, no data yet on temps until I can get some seat time tomorrow IMG_2774.jpg IMG_2775.jpg

Wow. Glad my FoMoCo filter wasn’t as tight as yours. Did my first oil change on Tuesday. [emoji1303]

I wonder if this is MY specific or completely random. I have never had any troubles with changing our the filter.

Any time I’ve done an oil change after a dealer it’s always been on tighter than axle nuts

No kidding. This thing felt like it was put on with an impact wrench. The car was moving upwards as I was trying to break it free. Ridiculous

I tore the filter apart with a pair Chanel locks trying to get it off. That’s why I always do my own [emoji23]

Oil change is probably the single easiest maintenance job you can do on the FiST, especially if you install the Fumoto valve.
