yeah it was covered, I forgot to ask how much it would've been without the warranty though, a friend of mine has the same issue with his (not covered) avenger, whoops

got these from the group but hosted by ron@whoosh, I think they change the whole look of the car, and I am glad I went with the gel badges over the vinyl. They are super good quality. If you have not been to the Whoosh store yet you gotta check it out, he has a lot of stuff, and adds stuff all the time.

Got the winter set up on the car today with a bit of downtime and an open lift. Winter set up is pretty good, Hankook ipike 195/55r15, same rotations per mile as the stock wheels/tires which is what I was going for.

So this is what I didn't do to my fiesta today. I saw an incredible deal at a local dealership on a 2015 Subaru Wrx Sti. $23,800 with 40k original miles, 1 owner, certified-pre owned (7yr/100k mi powertrain warranty). I love my fiesta but I've always gotten bored way to quick and decided, why not at least go check the STI out. So I did, and I was not impressed. I've worked with the salesman in the past so he was cool with letting me rip on it. I put it in the "sport sharp" mode and got on it the entire test drive, both Highway and rural roads. I must say I feel way more connected to the St than the STI. The STI has a sense of "maturity" to it and certainly has a more linear power band but it just didn't have that ST characteristic. It built boost as you would imagine but remained anti-climatic the entire time.

Winter tires/wheels -- picked up a nice set of Blizzaks, used one season, mounted on Focus alloys. Let it snow!

Ordered a Mountune radiator for next track season. Hoping that the intercooler will go on sale soon so that I can swap in both at the same time!

They have 20% off on their site right now with holiday17 as the promo code. Radiator is something like $93 off for $375 new or whatever and it's obviously more with the intercooler.

Yeah, the discount on the radiator was too hard to pass up. The current discount on the intercooler is 6%; not bad but hoping for better :)

Installed Philips H11 CrystalVision Ultra low beam bulbs. Definitely whiter than the originals; noticeably brighter too. For ~$35, a nice inexpensive upgrade.

How hard was it to change over?
The driver's side was super easy; no need to remove the light assembly. Things are a little tighter on the passenger side (there's a ground wire that gets in the way), so I removed the light assembly; it took a few minutes longer, but again very easy. I think I was done with both sides in about 10 minutes.
