It does not have to be VTA, if you do not install the open filter/one way valve assembly on top.

Mine is sealed.
Very true. Main reason for my switch was what a pita that diamond one is to drain and figured may as well buy the radium set of catch cans because i wanted to add the crank case one so hoping draining would be easier which it definitely will be seeing the new setup after install.

Thank you for both your responses!

I took a look on radium's website and there is a PCV baffle kit. I've seen in another thread that's in quite an involved installation.

Have not seen that much discussion about it. Would it be an advisable mod in addition to a catch can?

The Diamond catch can is also for the pcv blowby. The crank case can is definitely more of a scarry/ stressfull install considering you have to cut lines and heat shrink things together. I literally did this install yesterday for both pcv and crank case cans. Pcv side just involves transferring the connecting ends to the new lines of the catch can.

lost a key fob.. looked everywhere and nothing. Good thing mine came with 2 fobs. Looks like I’m going to put an AirTag on these. Eventually I will get another as they might be pricey

From the dealer they're pricey. I've replaced, repaired and programmed a few of my family's fobs via Amazon for cheap. (though sellers have been increasing their prices 👎)

Looking more closely at the link you included, that Radium baffle plate is *not* compatible with the 1.6L Ecoboost (Mk7 Fiesta ST)

It seems to be designed for Focus (2.0L and 2.3L) Ecoboost. It seems it can be made to fit Older Duratec and MZR based engines, but is not a bolt-on affair. The only Fiesta listed is the Mk5 and they probably mean the UK ST with the 2.0L Duratec.

Replaced my NGK Iridium plugs after 10k; they were toast. Some real carbon buildup at differing thread lengths on the old plugs. Gapped them at .028; one had fallen inside the valve cover the last change so maybe it messed with one gap. Saw a wee bit of oil on the edges of the coil plugs, talked to a guy who said it might be the valve gasket leaking. Finally put Ravenol into my trans but the stupid spout system their bottle uses leaked some out which I had to eyeball measure. Debating buying more and overfilling then going by the factory manual recommendation and drawing 20 ml out. Shifts fine for now. IMG_7104.jpeg IMG_7105.jpeg

Got the correct hose from Radium the other day in the mail (Great customer service greatly appreciated) so I finished the install of both the crank case and pcv side. With that I installed a pro alloy coolant reservoir. Once I figured out how to position that without interference with the pcv catch can lines it wasn’t a bad install. I had to slightly modify the reservoir mount closest to the front of the car (sloted the mounting hole) in order for everything to be happy. Also got the whoosh crossover pipe installed along with the st200 airbox. Just fitted the velossa tech big mouth sucker v4 for now. Cant install that till I get the rest of the front end back on. Coming close to finishing this long overdrawn build.😎
Is the Velossa worth it? I like the design and the concept of it but I would like to hear there is some noticeable response.

There are lower priced fobs out there, but there is some ambiguity about whether they work on the ST. This one specifically was used by someone else on the forum. You still have to pay ~$60 to get it programmed and the emergency key cut, but the fob itself costs twice as much from the dealership.

As for what I did for my ST today, I took him out for a nice morning drive in the country and ordered (yet) another plastic skirt piece for the front seat. Something about either the way they're designed or the way I get in and out of the car makes them stupid easy to break.

Replaced my serpentine belt and swapped out my old Cobb rmm for a vibratecnics fast road rmm. I had some issues getting the OEM bracket to fit on the VT mount but I fixed it by filing the hole out slightly.

I only drove it briefly but the shifting felt tighter and I didn’t notice any new vibrations. Now I just need the transmission mount.

My wife's Fiesta SE had transmission problems and it turned out to be the BCM. Now I 'm told I need to buy a new key to go with the new BCM. If I have to buy another key, why can't the old key be re-progammed without having to buy another key. They say I need 2 keys. WHY? Anyone have an answer to that one?
