Short rokblokz, got a screaming deal thanks to acidhorse. Will probably drill the mounting holes to slide them in flush with the edge of the tires, dont really like the subie look. May replace the rears for something a bit taller to go into the top of the fender, but we shall see

Rally sport direct. They're really good at showing what's all in the box, and they show the actual product not just a generic stock photo. They were good when looking for exhausts, they would take out the whole exhaust and assemble it and show photos. I did get the pads (reds) and brake lines from whoosh

For some reason, some folks here don’t like Mishimoto. Well - given that the, ahem, incident in the pictures also busted their radiator that I have, I was fully prepared to get a replacement.

Imagine my surprise, when they said that it was actually covered under warranty…. It’s 5 years old, and was damaged - not some kind of manufacturing defect. So, they only asked that I cover $55 in shipping costs.

How do you like them apples, eh?

Started the Journey to take out the Trans today...Removed the front Bumper..air box/ intake...cowl and wipers. Drained it and ran a magnet through the fluid....New trans on the horizon....Here I come Clark Transmission! Internal destruction is imminent.

I just got these back from getting painted and I couldn't wait to get some decent pictures to show them off. So here's some pics from my garage. I'm pretty happy about the whole deal. I'm typically not the type to go for aesthetic mods if I can't justify them somehow. But for some reason I went for these Mountune extensions and I love them.

Are you going to just send them the trans as is or take a peek inside first?

What are the core criteria? Beyond a tranny with only one big hole on the end, what will fail the refund?
I'll have to talk to Clark Trans. and see. There is no hole in the Case...most likely internal damage. But it is what it is. That's life in the fast lane of performance and Tuning.[driving]

I had a Ford escort that blew the transmission. Driving down the interstate headed to my automotive class that evening boom smoke everywhere. Pulled over still went to class, and had the car towed home. Removed the transmission still had all of the gears and would move, but had a big asshole next to the input shaft.

I know you will be back on the road soon.

Sorry to hear about the transmission.

Is the Clark Transmission you mention the one in Georgia? And, if so, why them? Are they known for something? If not them, mind sharing a link or location?

Hopefully you're back on the road soon.

I do believe they are in FL , They build ST and Rs manual gear boxes better than factory. Now I have to figure out a clutch and the Stock DMF is on intergalactic B/O. So I got that going for me.... Might go single mass with a sprung clutch.

Yup, they're located in/around Saint Augustine, FL. I emailed Colby of Clarke Transmissions the other day inquiring about a built gearbox w/ a Wavetrac installed. It was around $5300 shipped to my door including the core charge. Also, apparently the Wavetrac LSD is over 6 months out on backorder, but they do have the Quaife and MFactory LSD's in stock as of now.

Well, whilst you fellers are busy playing with your fobs, here's how I enter/exit my car.

I walk up to it(with the key in my pocket) grab the handle, push the little square button on the handle and I'm in.

The key remains in my pocket while I drive to my destination. The doors lock automatically when I start driving. If there are people I want to enter the car, I use the button just below the radio. If there are people that I don't want to enter the car, I use the button just below the radio.

When I reach my destination(with the key still in my pocket), I get out, close the door and push the little square on the door handle again, thus locking the car and arming the alarm.

Keyless Entry/Exit.

2 years and 6 months of service. (34,000 miles) No hard launches, just commuting and 2 trips to the Smokys, along with about 10 twisty days out local.

So, replacement poly ordered...
WTF.. I got the Cobb version.. I will definitely be checking it when I do my next 5k oil and filter change.. [emoji15]
