Was over at a buddies house today and we got a hail warning for the area, so naturally the FiST got a spot in the garage too!

The hail storm that came through ended up being pretty nasty!

Once I order an S280 for my car, we'll have a few YouTube videos of us roll racing my FiST and his Ferrari 458, you know.....for science. ;)

Your garage is about the size of my house.

Finally got around to replacing my cabin filter. It was the original one the car came with wearing in 2016.

Do mine every year* and it's still questionable at that low of miles @ 12-15k. Get the Carbon one to help with smells also

That's just all sorts of wrong. Seriously. But congrats on finally doing it and here's to another 5 years, lol

Last night when she got home my wife told me to look at the car because every time you start it there is some kind of fan noise that goes away after a while. Went out to check it out, and it sounds like we have a blend door actuator gone bad at 17,XXX miles. Time to call dealer for an appointment Monday.

Got up early this morning before 6am to beat the heat and freshen up the egg :

Met up with my buddy with the Ferrari 458 for a canyon carving session up to Jerome, AZ for breakfast. For those not familiar with Jerome, AZ, it's a very old mining town that's perched 5,000ft above the Verde Valley overlooking Clarkdale, AZ. You can see Jerome glowing at night on the side of the mountain from 30 miles away in Sedona, AZ.

After a rip through the canyons, we stopped for breakfast at a place called The Clinkscale Hotel Bar and Restaurant which was built in 1899 and is gorgeous inside! The food is delicious! Here's the Menu for anyone curious.

I had the Hot Chicken & Biscuits, it was fantastic:

My buddy got the Eggs Benedict:

This is overlooking the Verde Valley from about a mile up. As you can see, it's very smokey from some recent wildfires north of the area due to lightning strikes from storms passing through.

We were gonna go drive some other roads in the area, but his fiancé called and said he'd better get his ass back home now or she'd make him sell one of his toys. :ROFLMAO: With full tanks, we headed back the way we came:

This is where I had to stop taking pics and put the cell phone down so I could concentrate on driving more than the 15mph speed limit through town. ;)

Today was a great day. Maybe this'll inspire some of you to go have a great day with your car too. (y)

I’ve never seen a pairing up of cars like that. Very interesting. Do you have to work pretty hard to keep up with the Ferrari in the canyons?

The air compressor cools itself by having air flow. While the pusher fan runs all the time, I wonder how much keeping the cabin blower above the minimum speeds helps with compressor temps? The automatic fan speed setting nearly always runs the blower on minimal settings. (note: a super sooty/old air filter doesn't help either) I started setting my fan speed manually because the automatic setting wasn't clearing enough of the humidity out of the stock filter; was beginning to detect an ever-so-slight mildew just as the blower activated.

............ Get the Carbon one to help with smells also
Wish I'd known about this option before having recently replaced mine. Thanks for the tip. 👍

Man I was like a city block behind a Jeep yesterday and was still getting fumigated.
Any particular favorite? Quite a price difference.

I buy mine from Rock auto....I think yours is a 16' . Their stock also rotates so different brands are available at certain times I've found.

I would say that my buddy and I are equally experienced drivers.

With that said, after about 8-10 corners.........HE GONE. :ROFLMAO:

I've been fortunate enough to drive the Ferrari, his Porsche 991.2 C2S, Porsche 997 C2S and Bentley Continental GT Le Mans Edition. He definitely likes to scratch each corner of the proverbial automotive itch.(y)
