Apparently nails/screws in your tire are contagious!
My low pressure warning light came on yesterday, checked all of the pressures and my passenger front tire is 12psi low. I already know what this means:
Yup, it went all the way through and started hissing as soon as I pulled it out!
As a professional in the Offroad industry, this is the kit that I highly recommend keeping onboard every vehicle you own(in addition to a small 12v air compressor):
This kit has METAL handled insertion and reaming tools, not the plastic handled ones that you get at the parts store. The issue with the plastic handled tools is that once the plastic handle breaks from you putting force into it, the metal rod will go straight through the middle of your hand. Throw those plastic handled kits in the trash!!
Plugged.
Cut off the excess rope cord, sprayed some soapy water on it to make sure there are no leaks, and ran the car up to 80mph on the way to work this morning and the tire still feels balanced! This will at least get me maybe another 3K miles out of these tires before needing to replace!
