What I actually told myself in my head: "You can only choose one and your decision has to be based on maintenance cost." :ROFLMAO:
A track acquaintance of mine (who used to drive a Focus ST) showed up at TrackNight in an M2! Man, that thing was beautiful and fast! Huge rotors. He easily cut several seconds off of his Focus' personal best. But, yeah, the maintenance costs for Bimmers (in general) are ridiculous; in spite of that, I have other friends who have other models, complain about the costs, but always end up buying another one.

The M2 is the only Bimmer which I have EVER actually lusted after, although I liked their 2002 tii way back in the day, the 3.0 CSL coupe, and maybe the very first E30 M3 factory lightweight.

They missed a great chance to make a semi-compact/reasonably light super car by not actually making the 1M, a FULL-ON M1 (and yeah, I know that they could not use that model nomenclature on it, but still). [wink]

The M3 has gotten WAY WAY too 'portly' for me to ever like it at all, yes despite it's insane performance. [nono]

this counts as what i did to my fiesta today right? literally only had these tires for 2 weeks
so im at the final corner of my neighborhood with my home being 2 more houses down, all of the sudden i hear some cranks and scrapes for no reason.
as i complete my turn, the noise goes away and this is what happened (check thumbnails)

Do you guys think the tire will be okay? obv im not pulling the damn nail out but im also really worried about driving on it. im REALLY hoping i wont have to get a new tire
Also, check out what the nail also did to my fender, what kind of luck do i have? it punctured at THAT angle

That sucks. Unfortunately you are not supposed to repair damage on the sidewall.

I really hate it for your paint super bummer.

Your car your choice no good tire shop would repair that.

They would consider that the sidewall.

I have repaired those and even further out on my own cars and trucks over the years and NEVER had a problem.
I have always used the rope style plugs and trusted them completely.
However, when working as a professional mechanic I would never fix that on a customer's tire.

I agree with D1JL, I have repaired tires with nails in approx the same area.
Yes there is a risk it can go flat on you so plug it and let it sit overnight and make your first drives short and keep an eye on it.

Yes you can repair it your car your choice. I'm never going to recommend someone do something that possibly puts them at risk down the road.

And the risk is not a flat tire it is a blowout. That is why it is not recommended to repair that area.
