It's not legal at all here either, but I get it on our my cars. I've never been stop for the tint itself but I've had officers tell me if they have to stop me again I'll have to get it off. But I never get stopped by the same officer, so I've been lucking out.

HAH! Yeah, my issue is state inspection, they're pretty uptight about that. Wish I had a way to register it a few miles south in SC, no inspection, so i'd go with whatever looked nicest... Which appears to be 5% [biggrin]

Yea, it sucks to pay to have 35% tint, but when you see a car with no tint, you definitely see the difference. 20% would be great, but we too have strict inspection laws.

Yeah, that's one thing I like about MD; one inspection for the lifetime you own the car. So after that first inspection, you're good forever.

What size are those tires?

And I normally just get the 5% but choose the 3M this time because I had regular 5% on my Veloster Turbo and then placed it beside my dad's GTI with 3M. After seeing those two beside each other, I had to get the 3M. It's just a little darker and just better quality.

All it takes is one state trooper to give you a work order to get the tint metered for >35% light transmission. Then you go to a state trooper barracks, they put the meter on your windows and if illegal, you must remove all the tint or replace with legal tint to avoid having your registration suspended.

I know this because it happened to me. I had put 35% tint on my VW thinking it was legal. Turns out the factory glass blocked like 1.5% which put it under the legal light transmission limit. I had to pay to get my tint removed and then put back on. I had to go with 50% because there wasn't anything else darker but still legal like 45% or so.

Once legal, they give you these little stickers that go on each window that show other officers that your tint is actually legal.

Utah is 35% I believe, I am going with 20% as will have Montana plates in the mail any day now:)

I just had the front windows on the Duramax done in 20%, it is getting Montana plates in August.

I do not like darker than that as to hard to see out of at night to me, especially to dark at 30,000 lbs down the road when towing the 43' trailer with the ST in the back of it.

I changed my oil for the second time. I sent a sample to Blackstone for analysis. I also installed a Fumoto quikdrain valve with extention.

Tools I used for the oil change and valve install. I also tightened my boost clamps.

What the valve looks like.
I also added a Ford auto dimming rear view mirror/homelink/temperature/compass from Ebay. Here are some pics.

What my fuse block looked like before the addition. I had already added an add-a-fuse tap for my escort radar detector to F11.

What the fuse block looks like after the mirror is installed. F15 and F16 were used.

Mirror installed, Radar detector reinstalled.

Mishimoto, funny name, never heard of them before. A bit of Google research showed their a reasonable IC for the price. A poster on a different forum has already fitted one so I had the advantage of knowing it would fit although the Euro ST has a different front crash bar. Brought from Amazon.com and imported it. Its sucks we have no stuff here in OZ.

I have had several of their radiators in race and street race cars, dang fine and great value, I also now have their IC, J-line, it is a pretty big IC but I will have plenty of power and running lap after lap, mostly full throttle, hot weather, I needed a big IC but a reasonable cost well made one.

It is not a bolt on, if not into cutting and pasting then best to buy a bolt on.

That's it, its a J-Line. Its going to work out 250-300 bucks cheaper for me to make it fit rather than buying a bolt-on, plus I like doing this kind of stuff.
