Got on my Pierce 4 point brace on... after having the strut bar on for a few days. Its awesome how much difference there is in feel.. even at 5mph.

Then rotated my tires...

A 205 is not always exactly a 205, manf use rounded off numbers and sometimes way off numbers, well known to us that race;)

A 7.5" wheel is measured inside the lips, it is really 8.5" in total width.

Thus, a specific 205 on a wheel that is 8.5" wide at the outside of the lips can have a little stretch, likely not much and some tires might not show any at all.

The 205/45/17 PS3 AS on my 17x7 are a case in point, they look like they should be on an 8" wheel, they are much wider than the stock tires.

A little stretch is usually a good thing for handling, feedback, etc...

It's a common habit for most to lay face up to avoid potentially harming the face of the rim.
Oh I guess I don't worry about things that don't need worrying about. Plus I LOVE looking at brake dust :)

edit: Also I don't really care for the wheels. Someday I'll get some 4x108 Rays. Those wont be face down haha.

Installed Mountune RS-R pads about two weeks ago. Have about 500 miles on them and they are great. Good stopping power for street with minimal dusting.
Also installed Falken Ziex ZE950 all season tires yesterday and plastidipped the intercooler grill. License plate has got ta go asap!
