Weird turbo question

So I upgraded to a Pumaspeed x57 a few weeks ago and I noticed something different about the noises it makes (or doesn’t in this case). With the stock turbo I got a decent amount of turbo flutter, I know it isn’t good for the turbo, but with the new x57 I get none at all. Same turbosmart 50/50 blow off valve was/is on both. Just seems kind of strange to me

That's not a Bad thing. Its most likely due to the Turbo being bespoke NOT a hybrid/ stock frame design.

Speaking of the turbo, some people say it’s a hybrid, but it’s not, but it’s not a big turbo either. It’s in a weird spot, like in between lol. It’s so strange

Mine is Gen2 2860 currently and I run an ST200 with very subtle whistling noises....If I ran an "CAI" setup it my be louder but then id get more Complaining out of the BAE. Little does she know my DHM360R Kit has a screamer pipe and no cat...the look on her face will be priceless when its in and Running most likely this coming summer....[rockon]

No its BT...its a Bespoke housing not using the Stock frame housing machined to accept a larger cartridge. Bigger than Stock...=BT

Stock makes pressure down low. Any aftermarket turbo is going to push air differently than stock thus different noises.
