Kind of a dumb question, but in the very first post he mentions cutting open the headlights, I'm assuming he just means if you want to change the projectors or add one for high beams? Also for those of yall who've done this how hard would you say it is? I'm thinking of hmgetting the Hella ones but a little worries about the wiring since I've never done anything like this before, especially adding a circuit to the fuse box

When adding the pin through the rear of the connector did you guys just shove it through that white rubber seal or do I need to dig that out? I'm guessing I have to leave it in and it will keep moisture out but not sure. Cant remember seeing it mentioned before.

Hello guys, I read all the thread, and finally got to order the DEPOs, I have to say from where I live here in Mexico, I have not seen any FiST with the euro headlights so I am very eager to get my hands on this, I will update you with the results

So after almost 20 days I finally got the headlights, and boy they look flawless (at least the one I openen on my way to my job from the post office), the package is great, pretty well covered, just as you can see in the picture there is a yellow plastic inside but im pretty sure I can get it out of there.

I will try to make some time to install the things within this coming days, and update you with the results.

Again thanks a lot for all the detailed info!

Did you get this sorted? I absolutely cannot get 18g wire and pins through any of this stuff.

Yeah I was able to push the pin through the back through the rubber insulator thats in there.
Hmm. I think my pins/terminals were slightly too large - there was just no way I was getting them through the harder plastic parts, the part I had crimped onto the wire was just barely larger than the wire but wasn't even close to fitting through the plug. Everything else in the harness uses 20g wire and much smaller pins.

I took this to illustrate after I re-assembled it:

Well, solved that easily with a trip to the junkyard. Yanked a headlight pigtail out of a wrecked Fiesta, stole two wires and pins out of it, soldered them into the add-a-circuit harness I made, and done.

I installed the Depo headlights on my 2016 FiST and wired the connectors to enable the DRL option per instructions. The DRLs work normally - high with lights off, low with lights on.

However, with the headlights off and the DRLs on high, when I press the brake pedal the right DRL dims. I have double checked the wiring and cannot work out why the brake lights coming on would affect the right DRL.

Thoughts?

How is everyone's fitment of the Euro clones? I installed some TYC euros in my dads car & the fitment is not good.
If anyone had bad fitment - what did you do to adjust it?

Got the depo ones installed look great... fitment definitely not like oem and only acceptable. I'm a bit of a fitment freak so did some mods to get fitment better with the oem bumper and hood. Have not tried at night yet. Will post again. Thanks to all the feedback on this thread.

I'd like to know what you did to make it fit better... something to lift the bumper up more?
