Sour, thank you for the link, but even with the pictures and the go pro shots, I just can't see how or where to remove stuff to get to the heat shield. Those Ford diagram color graphics are hard for me to read too. I would just like to know... what should I have removed to get to the wastegate? For example. This week or next I will be installing the DHM crashbar and IC as well as the MAPerformance IC charge pipes. Does all that have to be off to get good access to the heatshield? I would kill for a guide. I'm already pretty unfamiliar with the underside of the car, despite installing the RMM, symposer delete, short shift plate, and cat back.
Is the waste gate accessed near the recirc valve? I've seen Spool's video on the Turbosmart shorty BOV. I didn't see anything related to the heatshield though in that area. I guess one of the things I need is reassurance of what I need removed to accomplish the job. Can I feasibly to the wastegate replacement with the bumper and IC still connected? It's no big deal to pop off the end of the IC piping if that's all I need to remove underneath to get to the heatshield.
