touchscreen compass reset??

Does anyone know how to 'unlock' (mine is stuck on north, and will not move) the compass in the touch screen without going to the dealer and paying them $150.00+ to do so??

I already tried the 'full system reset/default' thing, no bueno.

Try unplugging the GPS module then power off and plug it back in.

Do a dozen donuts and it will loosen the pointer right off.

I would do that first (unplug compass), if that doesn't do it then unhook the battery for 5 minutes and see if it's working after hooking battery up again. You may need to drive the car a little bit to calibrate the compass. I know for NAV they recommend something like 5 turns left 5 turns right with a vehicle speed over 25mph. I doubt that is necessary for just compass but you should know quick if that worked or not.

Yes, it actually uses the same antenna AFAIK. Same connection and all that
