Whewww yesterday was a crazy day. Left my house at 4AM and rolled in the driveway at 11PM. Very long, but exciting day at COBB Socal. Overall my experience was great with everyone down at COBB. The shop is extremely professional and it's definitely next level compared to your average "tuning" shop. The first thing you'll notice is the cleanliness. They take great pride in making sure the shop is presentable and an environment that is ideal for productivity. Everyone was very friendly and inviting. The techs are all ASE Certified and you can just tell they are no joke. They work with these cars all day long and it's very apparent they know the ins and outs of the cars they specialize in. They had everything installed and ready for Jon by 12PM. If I had one complaint about my experience it would be their scheduling. The car was ready for tuning and strapped on the dyno by 12:30. The car proceeded to sit there until 2:15PM....A little bit frustrating considering I had a 215 mile drive in front of me and this ended up putting me on the 405 in the middle of LA right at 5PM. Needless to say I was sitting in traffic for HOURS. I understand every shop has its ways of going about things, it just would've been nice to get out of there a few hours earlier. Jon was very nice and spent some time with me on what I was looking for. I basically told him to spend most of his time on the high boost map. I wasn't too interested in any low boost or econ maps as I probably would rarely use them. He definitely took his time and was very thorough. All said and done, Jon was able to pickup about 4hp and 25ft/lbs over the Stage 3 OTS Map. The tune is also much smoother and a massive dip in torque early in the RPM range was rectified. He also gave me 4 additional maps, 15psi, 9psi, Econ and Valet.
Coming into the shop with just AP Stage 1 and COBB's intake the car now feels very, VERY different. The torque is insane and so so much fun. The car basically pulls harder everywhere. MUCH hard in some areas of the power band. It wasn't cheap to get the car to this point, but it really is an absolute blast to bomb around in. I can't say enough good things about the things COBB is doing and in my opinion they are producing some of the best parts available for our cars.

OH I almost forgot. At one point during the day one of the service advisors asked me if I had ever had the IC off. Of course I hadnt and he took me to the back to check something out. FROM THE FACTORY, FORD PUT A HOSE CLAMP INSIDE THE CHARGE PIPE!!!! None of us could believe our eyes. Absolutely insane how this could slip through the cracks. Apparently, the techs had seen quite a few weird issues like this from the Mexico factory....Keep an eye on your cars guys LOL
