Tinted moonroof

So I tinted the moonroof.....

I bought an off the lot Fiesta. I was neutral about moonroofs... most of the cars I have owned had one, I never had an issue, but I never used them either... I left the shade closed unless it was dark out and I opened it.

The fiesta was the same as the others.. I needed my windows tinted because this car had serous SHGC issues (Solar heat gain coefficient).

Anyways. I put 20% tint on mine.. I LOVE it. So far I have been keeping the shade open 100% of the time with 100% happiness rating.

Good idea, I have to keep my shade closed here in Vegas or I cook. This is a good reminder for me to tint it, but I cringe at the thought of some tint dude crawling all over my recaros.

I reside in TX so it's helpful; I had Huper Optik 30 put on the moonroof - it's high quality (Huper is a German product that's also used on aircraft windows so it's a bit thicker and takes longer to set); to me it was worth the extra $$$.

The shade is all metal and simply needs a layer of insulation slapped on it. I will be doing that soon. I have some 5mm non-backed for the roof, but am ordering some 3mm foil backed for the shade panel. I'm not sure of the clearance thickness or clearance area (all but edges?)
