Hey everyone!

My name is William and I am a Mechanical Engineering student with a focus on Motorsports Engineering classes. I am also the proud owner of a '15 Fiesta ST.

as it says in my profile history:

I sold my beloved 2004 WRX Wagon after a hail storm had damaged it once again. I then put a down payment on my first brand new car, a Molten Orange 2015 Ford Fiesta ST. I took delivery of the car April 30, 2015 and I have loved it ever since. My WRX wagon was lightly modded with a new shortblock I painstakingly assembled with a friend of mine. I was tired of putting money in an aging car. Not to mention the thousands of dollars in mods I still wanted to do to my car. With going back to school, i didnt have the time to work on my car to do the mods i wanted and i really, really didnt want to continue putting money into the car. I havent looked back, much. The handling and interior of the Fiesta ST have far outweighed the fact that it has less power than my subaru did. I love the firm suspension and anyone who has owned a subaru can tell you how terrible the stock radios are.

i have 11,500 miles on my car since the end of April. I have taken it from Indianapolis to Myrtle Beach and also drive to work and school 5 days a week. It has been a blast and probably saved enough fuel to offset part of my car payment! i think i gained 10mpg when i got the fiesta!

We will see how i cope with the loss of AWD when it snows this winter.

Thanks for reading everyone!

I too came out of an aging WRX. I dont especially miss it. It was fun, but the gas mileage was a killer and the car was needing more TLC every day.

Thanks everyone!

And strife, I totally get that lol. I think with my mods and the awd I was averaging 24 mpg or so. The fist gets 32-34 now. It's awesome.

I joined because I realized that I knew nothing about my car! Through the process of putting a new short block in my WRX, I learned how all the systems function on that car but the fist is a completely different animal. I'm mainly here to read lots and lots. Starting with the stickies

How has the fiesta st done in the snow? I'm worried about fwd with an open diff after leaving my WRX. does the torque vectoring and e-diff work well in the snow? I'll be getting a set of snow tires in the next couple weeks

Dont feel too bad. I'm still very clueless about this car other than I love driving it and it's boosted. I'm still learning a lot as it's my first domestic car.. well.. ever.

Thanks everyone.

Strife- this is my first domestic in a few years. I had a mustang gt a few years ago but never did anything to it.

Anyone have any comments on driving in deep snow with snow tires?
