I just got the Sparco Assetto Gara in 16's and the ride is soooo much better. I put the Continental ExtremeContact Sport on them too. It's a much more compliant ride and handles really well over the stock wheels and tires.
This looks so sick, what size tires did you go with?

Running same set up and on Swifts, no rubbing whatsoever.
I only said that because when I ran that setup, there was one small dip on one particular ramp that mine rubbed while at stock height. I figured any lower and you might have problems but it will also depend on the quality level of the paving on the roads in your area.

This is what I went for too. After losing 3 tires (and 1 rim) to potholes on my daily commute... downsizing seemed the logical next step. I went cheap on tires (riken raptors) and was pleasantly surprised... actually prefer them to general gmax and stock summers.

Stock 17 brand new versus Sport Edition P5 (16.8lb) 16X7 ET45 with 215/45/16 BFG AX tires versus Sparco/OZ 16X7 ET42 (16.6lb) 205/50/16 Dunlop AX tires... much prefer the last set, it feels perfect. Also have a set of Rota Grid 16X7 ET42 (14.4lb) with Hankook R-S4 205/45/16 that I will try but the higher aspect ratio DZII/DZIII seems perfect. Doesn't look too bad.

How do you have 4 sets of wheels? Or maybe why do you have 4 sets of wheels?

Not gonna lie I almost had 3/4 sets of wheels at one point, just kinda happens lol. I have the OEM 17x7 for DD, had a 17x8 for autox that I had almost forgotten about (recently sold) and had almost bought a set of 16x7's off a member for autox/track. During all of that I had been planning on a set of 16x7 hypergrams for DD maybe autox/track use

Hhaha I'm kind of the same way. Currently have three sets:
  • Summer Dailies - 17x7.5 Sparco pro corsa w/ 215/40/17 Direzza ZIII
  • Summer Autox/Track - 16x8 Konig Dekagrams w/ 225/45/16 Direzza ZIII (need to solve my rubbing issues before running these)
  • Winter setup - 15x6 Steelies with snow tires
Considering going with 17" rota titans or OZ Ultralagerra next summer for my new daily wheel. Wheels are addictive :)

3 sets currently, as well.

Summer; 17x8 TD Pro Race 1.2s (42ET) with 215.40-17 Federal RS-RRs on them

Winter/rally working duty; 15x7 Method MR 501 VT (48ET) with XL rated 195/60-15 General Altimax Arctic 12s on them

'intermediate/daily use'; stockers with the factory Michelin as/3s on them

I want to sell the stockers, and get some Dekagrams to replace them (tires are a problem though, especially if I opt for these to replace the stockers' use with UHP all seasons on them), and possibly also sell the Pro Races as well and get some 17x7.5 OZ Superturismo LMs to replace those (with another 200 tread wear, or less, gumball on them)..

Rota Titans looks really good on our cars, that’s the set I had just sold (17x8 et40). I’m looking into a 16x7/8 setup right now. I want better ride quality and more options with tires

Agree, Titans are awesome on our cars! I'm considering the Royal Sports Bronze for my molten orange FiST, but still undecided.

I’m down to two sets, and before that the rationale was just doing some testing and had the stock black wheels... and also once I started to search for the right solution, there were a few opportunities. Basically ended up with the Rota Grid wheels on the car as they were the lightest and they ended up with the 200TW tires I like best (Bridgestones)
