OZ Ultraleggeras 15X7 w/ Toyo Proxes R1Rs

I was worried that 15s might look to small, but I think it turned out great. Not sure how I fell about the black on black though.

Those look awesome . Def would had went with th OZ ultraleggeras if it wasn't for the huge price difference with lime green sparco at 99/wheel was hard to resist .

Lol, I love it, just need better tires, but at the same time, these are perfect for DD. especially with the plan of 15x10s in the future. Maybe 15x10 6UL or Maybe, just MAYBE I will go with a custom set of BCFORGED wheels.

Well compared to most forged wheels they aren't that expensive. Volks are about 4K a set, these are half that. But again it's a maybe. Only going to get those if the weights and offset can be had that I really want and if I get more serious about tracking the car and need the clearance for a serious BBK. Right now being on this rock I haven't had a track day in 2 years and I'm absolutely dying. :/
The benefit of getting the 6UL would be I can have replacements. So it's not set in stone. But seeing those wheels in person was amazing. 15x10 6UL looks the most promising though. Haha. I could spend the extra Grand on a new FIA approved seat.

I'm running 17x8 ET 45 with 12.5mm spacers, so an effective ET 32, and I'm just tucking under the fenders and about .5" from the inside of the wheel to the coil over tube with 2.5? of camber. A 17x9 will *just* clear the coil over with another .5" of poke and, to fix a 17x10 (if there was such a thing) I'd need another 12.5 of spacer, bringing me to an effective ET 20 and 1.5" of poke over the 17x8 - not gonna happen. It won't be quite as bad with a 15" wheel, but I doubt that the tire height of something that makes sense on a x10 wheel will be that much different over a 205/40x17. I think that the situation is worse in the rear.

Thank you thank you so much for posting detailed specs!! It's difficult trying to get fitment info when most people might post pics, but post no other specs, or post some specs, but no tire size, etc. Thanks again.

Oh, and how about a pics? :p

I have some 15x9 +35 that fit perfectly under my car with a 5mm spacer. I have rolled fenders. that make the wheel "flush" with the fender. 15x10 will need fender flares as mentioned before. and is the plan. or to have a wide body fender made to fit them. as mentioned before, this is a long term plan. the 15x9s have plenty of grip... for now. The tire choice for the 15x10 is not that great, but I wont be traveling around on them daily at that point.

I was wondering what tires you would use because there aren't many at 15" and most of those seem to be pretty narrow but with a higher aspect ratio.

Starting to look for some 16x7 wheels to be my dedicated autocross setup. Not looking to spend a lot on the wheels since they will only get used for 8-9 events a year. Found these on Tire Rack...

Thoughts?

Good call on 16s. More tires in more widths that can still keep closer to stock rolling diameter, sharper turn-in when compared to same tire in 15".

I don't know much about those wheels though.

My guess is that he would put some full R compound, <100 tread wear, slick gumballs on those 10" wide wheels, possibly in a 245 width, since he indicated these were only for competition use. [dunno]

Yup seen these used before but not for autoX, have a look at the winners, very similar and cheap and not that heavy. I've had mines for a few months and no regrets. I do like these too.

Hey guys, I have some questions for the more experienced drivers out here, I'm sorry if my question has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer...
I'm planning on getting Ford performance tires https://www.summitracing.com/cart#Estimator and fitting them with 215/40/17 Michelin Super Sport 3's once spring/summer gets around and the trackdays will be more frequent. I love the look of the rimms but I don't know if the combination would benefit for track days. I don't plan on running different sets for tracking and daily so I was wondering if this setup would provide the necessary traction and weight savings for my use. I'm an amateur and mostly track once every one or two months. Question is, are there better options out there, should I stick with stock width of should I get 16" and semi-slicks for trackdays? I'm Driving an ST200 atm and don't plan on doint any mods except a catback exhaust.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I'm kinda new here.

Cheers, Seth

^^^The link above does not show any wheels, but are they the Focus 'Rally' wheels you are looking at??

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...elModel=Focus+Rally&wheelFinish=Black+Painted

If so, they are a good looking wheel, but only ~1.5 lbs. lighter than the factory wheels, and ideally one would want to put most 215 section width tires on at least a 7.5" wide wheel, if not an 8" wide (as I am doing in the spring).

We cannot even comment on that tire since it is yet another one which is not offered here, in that size, on this side of the pond. [:(]

But, most of the people who DO run the Pilot Super Sports in other sizes, or on other cars, cannot heap enough GREAT superlatives on them! [thumb]
