No brake fade for me. I'm running stock power levels, so I can't say whether or not you would experience any brake fade with this brake set up with increased power levels.
thread jack/ update..... went with Stoptech rotors, ss line, hawk 5.0 pads in the front and hps for the rear and ATE superBlue fluid. I pounded the hell out my brakes at the Ring during Memorial weekend and they worked awesome and are still going strong. Supposed to be an open track day at Hockenheim next month ill see how they hold up then since that track is pretty brake heavy.
I did say "about" so don't crucify me.
They are closer to 12.75 inches.
It took us a long time to find and setup an "off the shelf" rotor.
However the rotors must be re-drilled.
The kit will be sold with or without rotors for those that wish to do the work themselves.
The kit will add 5lbs per side but at about half the cost of Wilwood's set.
Not a bad tradeoff for a daily driver.
Did anyone happen to weigh the Stoptech slotted (or drilled, or slotted/drilled) front/rear rotors above and see whether there is any weight savings compared with the OEM rotors? Thanks.
