Called the dealer for VC-3-B Motorcraft orange concentrate and was told that it is replaced by yellow VC13G (concentrate) or VC13DLG (pre-diluted). Can anyone else confirm?
I can't find the orange stuff which is currently in my car (2017 with 30k miles, probably needs a flush).
I ordered VC-3-B from amazon but they sent me the yellow stuff anyway. I don't want to pay the ~$40 that amazon wants so ill get it from the dealer or some other parts ordering site.
I am a bit skeptical about topping off with a different color and am leaning towards doing a flush myself.
I might just take it in for service and have them figure it out at the dealer cause the car is under warranty. What say?
I'll keep posting on what I find.

Your dealer is correct, the orange coolant has been replaced by a newer yellow coolant. According to the Ford/ Motorcraft document below, you can top off with the new coolant-
Topping off, Draining and Refilling: • Motorcraft® Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant can be used to top-off or entirely replace (drain and refill) antifreeze/coolant in vehicles factory-filled with Motorcraft® Orange Antifreeze/Coolant and Motorcraft® Specialty Green Engine Coolant.

Here is the Ford / Motorcraft document-

I do think it's smart to be skeptical, dealers will sometimes tell you stuff that's not accurate.

I saw on fordtechmakuloco youtube's channel that the motorcraft orange coolant has been replaced by the yellow coolant. The yellow coolant is backwards compatible.

Thanks for the document! I did get the yellow stuff but im not comfortable mixing colors as the document says. Full flush it is. Apparently it is safe to do a yellow top off on dark green coolant as well. Interesting colors with all these coolants.

I've topped off with the yellow coolant on top of orange that's already in there.. No issues whatsoever.

My independent mechanic changed my coolant last summer, this was before the new yellow Motorcraft coolant had come out so he just replaced factory Motorcraft fill orange with new Motorcraft orange. He said because there was no block drain he was only able to get about a gallon of coolant out, this was out of what I believe is a 1 and 1/2 gallon capacity.
When you do a full flush, is there a vacuum filler or some other device that enables you to get all the coolant out when there's no block drain? I'm not familiar with how the various filling devices work.

Thanks for noting,
Here is also the video that lowda9 mentioned:
Yellow Coolant information (Very informative)

I think it is a good idea to flush and switch to the yellow coolant given the information in the above video. Reasons cited were increased stability and corrosion resistance.
