Due to the overwhelming need for people to have a place to discuss this, let's discuss stance here. Feel free to express your opinion even if it's negative, just try and be respectful towards others and if possible give actual reasons as to why it's not for you. Maybe you have questions that you're curious about or maybe you actually support it-in any direction this is the place for you to put your words down.

It's easy to hate something out of ignorance, but it's entirely different to not like something you understand. This isn't a thread to try and sway the people in either direction because most whom feel strongly about it won't change their thoughts, but hopefully people can discuss this openly with enough respect for fellow members to keep this civil.

I thought I escaped the stancemonster after I sold my VW...sigh...
Did somebody try and make you stance your vehicle? Is it wrong that other people stance theirs?

No, haha, not at all. And some of them look pretty good. I just got pretty tired of getting beat over the head with it over on the "dark side." There are some stanced cars that I really like, just not when it jeopardizes an excellent chassis. Think stanced Cressida..*drool*

Some cars look well when "stanced." Others not so much... I think the Fiesta, and hatches in general, look great stanced. In the end, it comes down to what you for your car; your purpose for it. If you want to stance, do it; however, please don't endanger others by doing it improperly by haphazardly throwing things at your car. I realize putting others around at risk is remote, but it's a possibility. I really appreciate it when people have done their homework and have produced a great, visually stimulating product.

Personally, for me and mine, I prefer more function over form. Before that comment is flamed, I'm aware that even a static car can have great performance while being stanced; that goes back to my comment about doing your homework. If you're willing to replace your entire suspension to have it perform great I can appreciate that. But what I appreciate more is my suspension travel, and not compromising with the road. My old Genesis Cpe was slammed on the stock 19s, could barely fit a finger in there. My approximate ET was 15mm; it was an aggressive "OEM +" set up, and it was fun at first, but then stuff started breaking, and I was scraping things everywhere. Really wasn't worth it, for me. I'll let you guys do it, and drool from afar.

To me it is just a style thing no biggy IT IS YOUR CAR do what you want though I can appreciate the effort I may not be as enthusiastic as you are about it the same goes for tinted and murdered cars (here the State Cops have a Post about a block from my house) and you can only do like 50% Front and 35% Rears tint on windows and they love to bust ya for that and then check out everything else on the car just like the front Lic Plate I gave up playing that game as they always seemed to win.. That said If you Stance or PlasticDip or add a Vinyl top to your car it is OK in my book at least you care enough to try to be different of Funny and you don't drive a Vanilla car like so many sheep I see .. Or a F150 God those things are like flies on a RoadKill in July .. LOL
If it is YOUR Car IT IS OK

One thing that would be nice around here is something MOM always said while she was here ..

"If You Can't say something NICE don't say Anything at all"

Rick, I wish this were on the other forum so I like your post; this comment will have to do.

You can give give him reputation by clicking "Rate this post" ... I try to do that as much as I can.

My opinion on stance, it can look pretty cool, but I mostly don't like it. I don't like the slammed look. I saw a stanced guy with a sticker that said "Form > Function" and I wanted to tear off the greater than symbol and switch it....

The thing I think is funny is the stance haters always talk about how it make a car "dangerous" to drive. While it might be *more* dangerous than stock, it's NOTHING like driving an SUV or ginormous lifted truck. I'm in Michigan so I see guys all the time with 13 foot tall diesel trucks on 40" wheels driving 90+ MPH while hauling their 30' long snowmobile trailer in a blizzard. You tell me what is more dangerous, stance or that guy?

Curious where all the stanced Fiesta ST photos are if there was such an overwhelming request to have a place to discuss. I guess people are still calculating and ordering wheels, tires and spacers?

The overwhelming need was for a correct place to discuss stance as there was no applicable thread for discussing it and it was bothering the moderators.

Judging by the look of it you would probably just add air until you could make it. I can't imagine that car being static.

Too busy for me personally.
