Hi guys,

got a blown headgasket, has a hairline crack in cyl 4 between liner and block. Sent the head to the machine shop all looks good, getting a new short block from ford.

Our price of parts from ford is actually a rip off here in south africa, so was wondering if i could re use my oil pump when replacing the short block ?

If the oil pump isn't goosed then it'll be fine

Car had a coolant leak in cyl 4, was still running fine when i stripped the motor, would run fine then would misfire after about 15 mins of driving as the coolant got into the bore, no low oil pressure light warning or anything of the sort, just a headgasket failure on in between cyl 3 and 4.

would love to put a new one but with the price for charges here its going to put my engine build out of budget
