Fiesta ST Official Weight Savings Thread

As we shave off pounds, there should be a single thread to keep track of the official weights, etc.

This week we are going to try to get the fiesta around 2490lbs -

STOCK WHEELS/TIRES - 42.2LBS (painted dark grey)

Our base weight will be:
Recaro Seats
BC Coilovers
18" Sparco Assetto
225 Tires (to be updated w specs)
Wilwood Front Brake Kit
2JR Full Race DP
2JR 3" Catback


Track Weight will be:
Remove both Recaros, Replace with single OMP WRC with 425 Motorsports Bracket
Remove OEM Battery, move to spare tire location, replace with Battery Tender Lith Ion 480CCA (3.75lbs)
Remove Rear Seat, both pieces
Remove Spare Tire, Jack and acces
Remove trunk floor and flip panel
Replace Assettos with 17 OZ Ultraleggera and 205/40/17 Hoosier R6s (total weight) 33.1 lbs

I'll post the corner weights and weight per piece. For Street the all track pieces will be swapped back except the spare.

OFFICIAL WEIGHTS:
1. Spare Tire + Jack + Rear Floor = 47.8bs
2. Heated Recaro Seat = 49.7 lbs each
3. Rear Seats, Upper and Lower Sections with Belts = 63lbs
4. OEM Battery = 25.4 lbs
5. OEM Rims/Tires = 42.2lbs

Try to take pictures so some of us can follow in your footsteps.
Like I'd love to replace my seats but am worried about the airbag light, I'd like to see what must be done to accomplish this.

Same with relocating the battery

The seats will just be a track day thing as I prefer to sit in the Recaros vs a fixed back OMP.

The OZs shave 40lbs off the Assettas, the seats are +-40 each?, the spare, maybe 30, the battery - 25lbs, rear seats and trim another 10?

Thats around 160-180lbs. But then I am adding the Lith Ion battery and OMP back in. I'll be running her in this trim @ Roebling Road this weekend.

AS mentioned in the OP, here is what we did today in preparation for the track this weekend. The car will be corner balanced with me in the seat tomorrow. Considering we only removed just basic interior pieces (took about 1 hour to swap them all out) its a pretty substantial weight diff. The final weight includes the OMP Seat, brackets and slider, along with the Lith Battery, cables and wire and swap to OZs with Hoosiers.

Power to weight is somewhere around 10.3-1

STARTING WEIGHT = 2710lbs FINAL WEIGHT (3/4 Full Fuel) = 2473lbs

OEM Battery: 26.4lbs

OEM Intercooler: 4.1lbs
OEM Intercooler Piping: 3.1lbs

Passenger Seat NON Recaro: 40.6lbs

OTHER WEIGHTS:
Antigravity ATX-20 Battery: 3.1lbs

16x7 Rota Slipstream: 14.2lbs

planted passenger seat bracket: 7.1lbs
Sickspeed Suzuka racing bucket: 13.2lbs
Sickspeed Suzuka racing bucket mounts/sliders: 9.9lbs

MAPerformance Catback:
- front section: (missing weight)
- center section (s-bend): 3.15lbs
- rear section: 14.6lbs
- hardware: 3lbs

Coincidentally, Joe sets up my suspension for track. I just pulled the spare, jack, covers, and all seats except driver recently. We’re corner balancing it again as soon as finish up other stuff.

Weighed the full stock suspension i removed vs BC Racing coilovers and the BCs are a 7lb savings

Kind of. I weighed the full box o bc stuff, then put the stock stuff in the same box with the same wrapping paper etc. On my scale it was 48.8 vs 55.8
