Would need to do a direct comparison of the connected hardware. Even if they use the same connector the programming in your stock APIM might not support the different attributes of the larger digitizer and display; particularly if the native resolution, aspect ratio, or contrast/brightness characteristics of the display panel are different. Your experience may be littered with bugs and issues. With how plug and play Windows and Linux is with varying displays, we take all that for granted. But stripped down embedded solutions could have a lot of that function stripped out; requiring hands on tweaking from software engineers, anytmie any piece of the operatnig environment is altered. The APIM talks to other modules in the vehicle so swapping it out may not be a good idea either.
