What are the benefits of a Sync 3 over the stock one in my 2014?

CarPlay/android auto. If you’ve never had either, it’s a game changer.

I've decided I don't need it. I don't have an Iphone nor would I get one. My new Samsung works fine when synced and I only play cd's in my car. Saved myself a bunch of moolah!

I agree it's a huge upgrade over factory software, especially navigation. For anyone looking for more info, the official name is "Android Auto"

That's fair, if you don't care for using Maps/Waze/Other in your car and you don't stream music you may not get much value out of it. Thanks for looking!
